I love everything about Italy, food, culture people and offcourse music. All my friends including my professor calls me "Half-Italian", specially after trying authentic Italian dishes I prepared for them, and also because of the fact I'm listening and humming Italian songs all the time. I have been to Italy 3 times already in last 5 months (Milano, Torino, Venezia, Roma, Terni). I'm learning Italian as well, I can mostly understand, but need more grammatical skill for speaking. And it's my dream to find someone to love from Italy only. Unfortunately all my Italian female friends have boyfriends 😂😂😂

Soumick you should use an app called HelloTalk, you can converse with italians! That’s how I’ve been practicing my Italian! Most people use the free version and it works fine for them

If you had married a Latino from Latin America or Spain these guys usually DO NOT cook. I know because I am married to a Mexican guy and he says most Mexican men don't cook.

This is no offense but I don't think Mexicans are like Italians at all. Maybe Brazillians, but many Brazilians have Italian ancestry.

The lack of history is frightening and most damaging to ancient cultures like the Roman culture because not many know that the Romans are the ones who Romanized (Spain). Latin culture begins in Rome ---- The birthplace of the Latin language.
@priscillavelazquezs4 жыл бұрын
Kotor Tapa I know! It’s crazy. I don’t understand when Hispanics claim their country is more this than that. Although ethnicities range from person to person, and some can more recent Italian ancestry- everything was romanized, and in Spain, the Romans ruled even longer than did the Visigoths or Arabs. Then they took over their romanized culture (centuries long) to America, and although in some places it is correct to say they are Latin not Hispanic, still it was all Romanized.

All of Latin America & Spain have Latin Roman culture that originates from Rome, Italy. It is a shame that history is not taught in school.
@masvero2 жыл бұрын
I'm Italian, but I know Mexican culture and no, it's definitely different. It's true that they have a language that comes from Latin but, for God's sake, no, culture is something else. You should question the teachings of your history teacher and, if you are Hispanic, be proud of your culture without envying the others.
@maryreilly5102 Жыл бұрын
@@masvero what makes you think we envy others? I'm latin american and don't envy any culture, but he is right in saying there is something in common between italian culture and latin american culture, mainly because we are both catholic and spanish is a romance language, just like italian.
@masvero Жыл бұрын
@@maryreilly5102 in primis: the "you" that I used was exclusively aimed at the person who wrote the comment, so don't consider it as a "we". in secundis: writing, as you say, that some cultures may have things in common could be correct, but it does not mean that all of these have their roots in the Latin culture. Maybe I misunderstood when I read "latin roman", I thought it was referring to the culture of Imperial Rome, but I don't think you're talking about this period because maybe you know that today's catholicism derives from some crucial changes of the medieval millennium and that it is extremely different from the Catholicism of the Imperial Rome. There are many Catholic countries in the world like Rwanda, Uganda or Burundi, but their culture is extremely different from the Italian one.
@maryreilly5102 Жыл бұрын
@@masvero @massimiliano t @massimiliano t I know you aimed the comment at the guy who wrote comment, and in his defense I replied because nowhere in his comment he denotes envy. He just made an observation, whether correct or not, and you assumed there was 'envy' behind it, which you made up or projected on to him. And 'in secondis' the catholic church is also known as the Roman Catholic Church for a reason. I didnt say that modern catholicism is the same as classical roman catholicism (which as far as know didnt exist as such in roman times because christianism wasn't divided into catholics and protestants yet) only that the fact that we share the same religious thought AND that we speak a romance language as first language, that makes us somewhat similar. Something that doesnt happen in those african countries you mentioned. Also take into account all the spanish and italian emigration that ocurred in southamerica, specially my country Argentina. Also a major difference to catholic african countries. All this factors make us similar, which doesn't mean we are the same.
