I was an intern as a foreign student at Marriott headquarter thirty years ago. I still remember they put on the wall something like “Everyone’s opinions are important.” It was also impressive that Mr. Marriott takes lunch at their employees cafeteria. This experience had a great influence on my attitude once I entered the real business world after college graduation and came back my country. Thank you.

I could not let another day go by with expressing my sincere gratitude for this video. My son Major studies Coordinate Grids in the 5th grade. Over the summer we have been doing a review of the concepts learned; he said something that made my face light up with glee, " Always go across the hotel lobby before you take the elevator. " I am a student of Forbes School of Business and Technology @ Ashford University there I am studying Cost Volume profits. His strategy reminded me of this video I watched in a Forbes Showcase at school. I watched it several times and had gained so much more insight that will allow me to see patterns &relationships as well as the effects of using different recipes. Marriott started hotel business in 1957 and in 2014 they reached 4000 hotels. That is 70 hotels a year.

As an employee of marriott hotels i worked in banquets. Everything mr Marriott said sounds great and goes with the core values however except for banquet servers. A california rep when i exained to her t What mr Marriott said in this video and in orientation told me they were an equal opprotunity employer and she said i was saying i was garanteed an interview since i was an employee.
