More precisely: coffee was poured into the saucer and slurped from there because it was too hot in the cup. That was a long time ago, when the coffee sniffers of Emperor Old Fritz roamed the streets of Prussia (on foot) to catch the drug users wherever the smell of coffee wafted through the kitchen windows.

Larry Buchanan's Azalea Productions have an unidentifiable SOMETHING to them that gives them a peculiar, dreamlike allure. Since most of them are intentional differently titled remakes of 50s AIP flicks, they often impart an eerie sense of deja vu when seen by people who viewed those flicks many years or decades earlier, but who don't immediately recall them right away.

My first job had those computers and each spinning magnetic reel console had a Disney charter's name. We would say Minnie needs her reels changed. Mickey was right next to her. Goofy was on the end. Those printers made a hell of a racket when the all started printing at once. Other employees would walk by and look through the windows and marvel at all the mostly non-action.

I've known this title for many, many years but I never saw a single frame of this movie until now. Oddly enough, Tommy Kirk reminds me of Edward Norton in this film but Norton's acting abilities leaves Tommy in the dust. I always thought someone should have made an adult entertainment film along the lines of "Cat Women of the Moon", "Missile to the Moon" and "Queen of Outer Space" and titled it, "Venus Needs P*n*s".

This was an American International PicturesTelevision release, through Azalea Productions, which cheapmeister, Larry Buchanan ("CURSE OF THE SWAMP CREATURES" and "ZONTAR- THING FROM VENUS") directed, showing American International's reputation for low budget sci-fi movies, even with star, Yvonne Craig (who i had the pleasure of meeting in early 1990, a very nice lady!), which appears to be the only saving grace of this 1968 cheapie!
