There are so many used Marshalls available, (as well as many other amp manufacturers) that i dont see this as an issue. We'll always be able to buy a "Marshall," if Marshall stopped making them completely, and if you can't buy one with their name on the front, you will be able to buy something that sounds the same.

It’s not “hand wired” but it was made in England and I am referring to the best amp I ever owned a 50th anniversary one watt JVM combo made in 2012. It has worked flawlessly and the “clean” channel cranked is my favourite tone ? (but I don’t have to go deaf and pay fines to get it) The amp is the JVM preamp and a reduced output power amp. Five tubes and most would be shocked at the volume a proper watt produces. These amps received mixed reviews and were pricey but for my use (playing at home and wanting a natural power amp overdrive sound) it is perfect. The combo only has an 8 inch speaker which I really wish was 10 inch it can be plugged into a cabinet which I do and the sound is better through a 12 inch speaker and it produces even more volume. Peace

It was inevitable. Marshall has been shifting all kinds of out sourcing from Asia/China. Recently folks confirmed the Transformers in their UK HandWired amps are in Fact Made In Asia. Good or Bad? Who knows. However this is certainly Historically significant in the History of Marshall Amplification.

Think if there is a squeeze on the lemon, it would put a ? on new invested Eastern interests future manufacturing standards regarding the classic series products quality and longevity for sure. The good at present: I can't recall where, but, Marshall at present are manufacturing new classic amps with artist's mods, which I thought was pretty cool. Marshall's history has made the brand what it is today, how that pans out re the future legacy ? I just hope it's something that doesn't become voodoo hoodwinkery.

Most manufacturers have moved production to China anyway so it barely makes a difference anymore

I never cared about Marshall, one way or the other. I'm a Fender guy. However, I expect the quality will drop now that the Asians have there hands on them!!!

So chinese parts will be assembled into amps in China instead of the UK?😉

Oh, and the best sounding "Marshall" I've played was actually a Traynor. And my neighbor makes Morris handwired amps so, I'm not that worried
