I've been in and out of the community for about 20 years. My collection is growing again and I realized it's time to get updated on current husbandry knowledge. So glad I did. Thank you very much for this channel.

And this is why I come to y’all with questions ❤️ You truly want these animals to thrive, not just survive. Keep doing what you’re doing, and I will continue to support your business 😁

Looking forward to expanding my education in Tarantula keeping. I'm fairly new to the hobby and currently have 15 Tarantulas. I just started 5 months ago doing research for several months before getting my first specimens. So far I've had good success, but am eager to expand on my husbandry and care.

It's nice to see folks in the hobby embracing an evidence based approach to husbandry. Looking forward to future videos.

I like keeping my tarantulas with bio active with plants too, it’s a lot more fun and I’m sure it helps the tarantulas in some ways too

More videos in the pipeline? Would love to see more on other somewhat technical topics, especially ventilation and humidity for moisture dependant species.
@marshallarachnids711 Жыл бұрын
Yes absolutely more videos are in the pipeline! We're in the middle of a big interstate move for the next few months but once we're established at the new home we will be posting these much more regularly. Feel free to send us suggestions!

@@marshallarachnids711 Sounds great. Humidity and ventilation for Avicularia and Asian arboreals/fossorials would be awesome. A deep dive on the effects of the infamous "stagnant conditions", proper ventilation and whether or not it's important, effective ways to maintain moist substrate, etc. I've been keeping for around ten years and have what I think is a decent system for these spiders, but would love to see how you guys handle this tricky subject. Have seen lots of misinformation and different ways of doing things, some of which are very effective but instantly rejected by most hobbyists because they're non-traditional.

If you guys could start something g like this with centipedes, that would be just great. I've been thinking the info for care for pedes is a little off as well ❤ not to mention they seem very under studied by a large margin.

I'm an avid ant keeper, but also keep Isopods and I am looking into arachnids. Looking forward to your content and ideas! You and Jess have an awesome backstory

Nice setup, I don't know what book that was or how old it was but not giving your T a hide lmao, I'd've thrown it too, into a fire

Thats great! Question already.... what kind if lighting do you have going on?? I want to use live plants like the begonias I see in your tank's

We have a couple different types (testing out what we, the plants, and the spiders like best): we have full spectrum LED grow bulbs in three different color temperatures (similar to these: www.amazon.com/Barrina-Equivalent-Spectrum-Integrated-Growing/dp/B082ZKJZP1), and Sunblaster t5ho grow lights (www.amazon.com/SunBlaster-Grow-Light-Indoor-Plants/dp/B00AKKULI6). Be sure to have these set on a timer that stays on no longer than 10 hours a day :)
