I have the Code 50 and also the Code 100 212 which besides an effects loop as a 8 ohm speaker extension jack. I hook it up to my 410 8 ohm cab and my 212 cab. I love my Code 50 ad a Jazz guitar amp. It has so may controls, not to big, not to heavy but very powerful. Once again, it can be adjusted to taste unlike any other amp I've ever tried.

I really appreciate your objective approach. This amp doesn't excel through it's presets. When using this amp by creating and dialing in your sound the Code may have no equal. It's Eq seems to be one of the widest ranging and the tube emulations are impressive. I encourage people to use an overdrive with real tubes in front of it and A/B the harmonic content of the tube emulations...the Softube modeling will blow you away with how well they create harmonic overtones matching various types of tubes

Thanks for watching John. I was pretty impressed with the Code 50 and found out today from the NAMM show that the Code 100 actually has an FX Loop so I would probably be more prone to getting one of those just for the added functionality and routing possibilities. Looks like having the footswitch with the amp would come in handy as well. For what they are I think they are a steal of a deal. I would not hesitate to use this amp in the studio or the stage.

I have been able to use it live several times now and it's continuing to impress me. The footswitch works well and I also keep my phone connected via the app on my mic stand and I can get to the Eq quickly while being downstage. I've actually changed Eq and saved patches quickly using the app during the set. I'm glad you got to try it out!

Thank you for this! I want to use this amp and a Boss 10MKII via a Radial Twin City ABY switch box with an ambient pedal board (big sky, el capistan, immerse, mxr analog delay) I don't have any compressor or overdrive. I am not sure which amp would work best for the pedals and which one would be better for clean smooth compression... Any thoughts?

Sir is there any way we can get a good fender type sound from the code akin to a tele through a twin / deluxe / tweed type amp. I love my code but missing the classic tele sound somehow.....

I'm looking to purchase a new amp I'm torn between the Peavy vypyr3 and this Marshall. Is the Marshall as versatile as the Peavy in terms of can I use an acoustic on this?

I would honestly get the Boss Katana. It is easier to use and has a better overall sound.

Sorry I don't know. Any impedance should work just fine.

What’s the point calling it clean if it’s not clean.......change the title to break up.

Some people like a little hair in their clean tone so if you roll off the volume you get a cleaner sound and when you bring it back up its still clean but maybe just a little bloom. Pickup type can determine how clean your sound is as well. Keep rockin
