sounds completely different than all the one I have heard including mine.

chuckyz2 could be my Tele with the Hotrail pickup or my Marshall cab with the GT 75s.

@@rustysgearreviews6007 There is a popular set of mods for these amps to change the gain channel to a lead 1. Marshall has wired them to act like and sound like a lead 2. On mine and everyone else's, the ultra gain channel breaks up way to soon and is pretty much useless past 3 or 4. 9 oclock. But even at those low settings it sounds like shit to me. I have an 00' American Strat, a 18' American Tele, and a 81 Tokai Love Rock Les Paul. The speakers are the lightweight modern small mag celestions in a modern budget Marshall 4x4 Cab. I don't play at high volumes and they sound great until you get to gigging volumes. I think it is more in the amp itself. Fortunately the mods needed to get it to sound like a Plexi are very easy and cheap.

@@rustysgearreviews6007 is this good for heavy metal or just for classic rock?
@rustysgearreviews60075 жыл бұрын
TechnoVan good for both. I would put a over drive in front of it for metal to tighten it up just a bit.

Yet… sounds better then the DSL20?? I don’t get it either.
@metalinsights966411 ай бұрын
@@FckYourFeelingsYT I agree. I have them both and the DSL15 dominates the DSL20 every single time due to its pronounced midrange versus the scooped DSL15.It's like a 5150 vs. a Mesa. No contest. By the way, they do not mix well together for recording, as they're too different to complement each other and, being the sharper and more defined sounding, the DSL15 always dominates the mix.
