10:57 True the internet wasnt buzzing like today & we didnt have many cancel cultures but Em caught hell for this album. There was demonstration by the GLAAD group outside with picket signs and calling for his head A group actually bought tonnes of his CDs only to run it over with vehicles to show their disdain The media flamed him He was banned from radio play Got banned from MTV He almost got banned from performing in canada Trust me stevie, he caught hell fire for this album and the funny thing is it is his highest selling album, over 30million sold and it is the biggest rap album debut of all times 1.7million first week

Then he hit instantly hit the world with 8 mile movie 8 mile soundtrack & the Eminem show in the same year (2002) Eminem Show sold 1.5 first week.. & the MMLP sold 1.7 in just 4 days cuz he dropped it in the middle of the week.. It sold 2.3 million in an entire full week & 3.4 million in the first week Globally! Nigga sold 30mill in US alone & 39 million worldwide MMLP alone.. He has two diamond albums. One is 3x diamond & TES is 2.5x diamond..idgaf what anyone say.. That nigga is the fucking 🐐 Pac the GREATEST cuz hw embodied everything a rapper should be. Politics, the streets, repping black ppl✊🏾, consciousness, standing up for woman spreading love while also keeping gangsta..his impact is too much ...BUT Em is the best rapper ever..no one raps better than him. Its Pac & Em on an island by themselves.. Most original rappers ever too. Idc what anyone say Pac would of loved Em

But I love it. I think I’m going to make my page a straight Em page and react to some of the remixes I have to the 8 mile sound track and a ton of other songs. It seems like every1 requests the same em songs. Not once have I heard him react to encore the song or the luv me remix. Every song off 8 mile with em on it was bananas the re up was dope. Way more songs from bad meets evil. I’m not gonna keep requesting shit that he never gets to. Or pay to have him play it. Ima dj. So im feeling like these reactors are Django for shut ins and we are all shut in during covid. I think I’d have an edge from my dj background. But Stevie catches bars like a pro but I’ve already heard these songs and still haven’t caught everything cuz I never read the lyrics or thought I caught the bar. But I was 18 when em was on his 3rd cd so I was already a Stan. But not a fuckin delusional manic. Lol I just recognize he’s the best to ever do it and I’ve heard the best and I’ve seen the best live. None compare to em. After watching him do rap god live I knew there was no1 that could do what he does. He has to much material memorized and is like comedian cuz of how fast he is and how clever and Witty he is. Now add the schemes cadence and delivery. Smh he’s a complete glitch in the matrix. Tiger woods esq

Thank you for the reaction,Stevie✊🏾. They had protests against him and his music back then. MMLP is mostly satire aimed at critics, government, industry, parents of middle class to rich parents, conservative communities. The industry paired him with pop artists because he is white, so he insulted those groups to set himself apart from them as well as the fact that to him most of them seemed manufactured or fake. He did not want to be associated with that.

I really like your reaction, I'm sure, slowly but surely your KZbin will continue to grow .. Keep reacting to classy rap music like this. Greetings from me, from Indonesian🙏🏻🙏🏻 I'm going to tell you the differences about Marshall Mathers, Slim Shady and Eminem. And here is the difference *Marhsall Mathers: Makes you cry* Sometimes his dark life story is very much related to us in the real life (about love, family, children, about the cruelty of the world, or about whatever it is) Like the songs Mockingbird, When I'm Gone, Your Never Over, Going Through Changes, Sing For The Moment, Like Toys Soldiers, Rock Bottom, and many more.. FYI: That the Rock Bottom song was made when he had not met Dr. Dre & was not well known, it was said that when he made the song Em had thought about suicide but Em did not give up and Rap saved him so he can become what he is now *Slim Shady: Makes you laugh* Slim Shady is cast with a blonde man who is grumpy & sometimes makes us laugh but a little crazy, controversial words and the diss song is very cruel Like the songs Nail In The Coffin & Bully (Diss Benzino & Ja Rule), Superman & The Warning (Diss Mariah Carey & Nick), The Real Slim Shady & Without Me (Diss Christina Aguilera, Limp Bizkit, & Moby), Cleanin Out My Closet (Diss his Mother), Leaving Heaven (Diss his Father) FYI: The song Leaving Heaven was made by Em because he was very disappointed and hated his father because until his father died he did not give a good impression since Em was a child and Em also said he was too fucking coward to never see his grankids, Hailie and the other kids Eminem: Make you Think Eminem often makes songs to motivate many people or people who have felt like the life that Em lived Like the song Lose Yourself, Not Afraid, Guts Over Fear, Beautiful, Beautiful Pain, Till I Collapse And More FYI: Many people feel helped or excited after hearing the songs Ohyaaa.. And one more thing, Marshall Mathers, Slim Shady, and Eminem It lives in the same body

I love ur reactions but sometimes I think ur doing urself a disservice by listening to em's shit all out of order. Like..imo ppl just gotta listen to albums chronologically, skits n everything, to understand what was going on and to understand the music..that goes for any artist. But anyways...when u say "shock value" u gotta have some context...where Em came up in the detroit battle scene, part of battling was about saying crazy punchlines to get a reaction from the crowd..mixed in with rhyme schemes and flow and all that. His first album, Infinite, in '96 flopped..he had had so much shit going on in his life and was so fed up with everything..so he got angry & started rapping like he didn't give a fuck anymore & created his alter ego slim shady with D12 (all the members had alter egos). Then he signed with Dre and released the Slim Shady lp in '99. On it he had some songs (not all of them) that were Slim Shady & "shock value" and critics and media latched onto that stuff and went crazy on him. There were protests and police trying to stop his shows & all this shit. Even tho he tried multiple times to explain Slim Shady and point out that other rappers were saying offensive shit and not getting attacked like he was. So a lot of this third album, MMLP, is a response to that & him being like, u know what? U want to think I'm misogynistic? U want to think I'm homophobic? U want to think I'm an asshole? I'll show u then. But anyways..all that doesn't even matter much for this song bc he's actually replying to ICP
