A lot of this is more truth than most people realize. A 33rd degree marshal is. He speaks a lot of truth in this and the recovery album. And to think that the ones above forced him to give relapse bad publicity through his own words are not coincidence. This whole album is his personal story from childhood through the industry and the dark sides of Masonic belief. From start to finish this album is truth. 3 am is the monarch program spoken. That's 💯. All the way to my darling and the light of the "truth" in his life and his complete journey between. When he speaks on the ones that threaten him so much in recovery... It's because of his graphic tellings on relapse. Truth.

@teflontom88 nah I'm not talking anything bad about you just tryin to share some shit that is crazy as it sounds. Do you know what gematria is? The language of numbers... Eminem has a crazy deep relationship with gematria I know how crazy all that sounds but if you look and cross reference with his lyrics ad themes it all comes together flawlessly and designed no coincidence. I do agree that the 2 songs were label induced and from the content you can tell they were.

Relapse has and will ways be my favourite album. It's lyrically Insane throughout coupled with some most sinister beats. It's a pure showcase of his ability. he came back after 4 years, No drugs, no drink.. sober.. All of Eminems previous songs were written while he was either drunk or high.. He would pop an E before concerts and says himself he can't remember most he so high... this was a Completely different Eminem and he needed a comeback album that would put him firmly back at the top of a rap game that he hasn't been involved in for 4 yours.. . whoever was at the top of the game in 2009 lyrically or even commercially must of heard this album and been just in absolute shell shock because he was in his absolute prime before he nearly died in his bathroom... Took 4 years out got sober and comes back 10x better than he was in his prime.. he just keeps getting better and better as the years and albums roll by.. He's the Bruce Lee of Rap. Still to this day The best to ever do it.. Nobody has surpassed him still to this day. Eminem is the best to ever do it.. The only one who surpasses him is himself, Consistently.. In my eyes there will never be another like him (lyrically) 20 30 40 years from now.

this is off the relapse album as people said, that was his first album when he came back sober after a few years of being silent. (2009) I read a bunch of interviews when it came out and a lot of songs on the album was inspired by serial killers, because he had spent a lot of time watching documentaries about it, and he almost created verbal horror movies like this one. This song is actually NOT his own thoughts, but him, trying to channel the thoughts of people like this. on a side note, when he became sober he had to "find himself" again and began to use this accent which a lot of people hated on at the time, but it was just him being unsure of himself and almost created a new persona to rap as, instead of himself. he talks alot about this on later songs on recovery. I actually started listening to this album a few days ago again, and the shit is really fucking underrated, a lot of crazy songs on it. BUT you have to look at songs like these almost like you look at an author, we don't connect an author to his ideas he writes about in a book or a movie as HIM. it's difficult to really explain what I mean but hopefully you get it.

This album, Relapse, came out in 2008. In 2006 Eminem was feeling a lot of pressure from the media and to top it off his best friend Proof got shot and killed sending Eminem spiraling downhill. In 2007 he OD on drugs and almost died (he makes a song about in his album Revival called Arose), after finishing his 12 steps recovery program he came out with this album (Relapse). The album shows the dark place he was in at the time but directly after this album he came out with Recovery in 2010 where he apologized to his fans and turned his life around. You should listen to more songs off Recovery and Revival as he goes over a lot of this, but hey it makes for one crazy ride for us Stans! Edit: guys like this post so that he sees this info!

Eminem - goes hard, drops bars and punch lines (Till I Collapse) Slim Shady - crazy shit, shock value, etc (Just Lose it) Marshall - woke, political, deep, insightful, tells his life stories (Sing For The Moment) In all his songs he has one of those 3 "personalities" when he writes it

That’s why he does the accents it gives more words a handle to rhyme
@ernop3504 жыл бұрын
actually the accents are to separate two characters in his album, (slim shady the serial killer, and ken kanif the copycat serial killer who tries to take his place when slim goes missing) which is a concept album and has a story from beginning to end starting with him as a kid in my mom and insane, and shows him growing up to hate women so he becomes a serial killer who targets women, in underground he doesnt have an accent anymore because its not slim anymore its ken kanif, a copy cat serial killer and he doesnt kill women he kills gays.

It was actually about him also trying to rhyme words as creatively as he could. Hence why he went overboard with all the accents. He said the only way certain words could rhyme was by the accents next thing he knew he went overboard with them It would of been a better album had he not tried the accents . Just shows again how much better he gets with age

Relapse is my favourite Em album because of the horror core theme and imagery. The storytelling was impeccable in that album, and I loved the accents and shit. Gorgeous album. 50 once said that Relapse 2 was even better than the first one, but scrapped the whole thing after the reception the first one got.
@dmbdajoker6164 жыл бұрын
@@PKDionysus yes sir I dunno if you ever heard the leaked tracks think there was like 6. That were gonna be on relapse 2 before he switched and made recovery. They were mental. And the best part about them was after listening to relapse and then them into recovery you hear his mind change in his flow etc and can hear him actually recovering. IMO was the right thing to do scrapping for recovery.

He was definitely "coming" out of those dark times. And you're right, that whole album plays like a horror movie as a concept album I guess. Here's what I think the song is about: The "story", his imagery of this monster or beast in a horror flick is a metaphor for how much of a "beast" he is at this game. As a rapper, he's a different type of monster. He's an animal. His preys or "rappers" need to Stay Wide Awake with him around or perhaps "that is the type of animal he is" the type that Stays Wide Awake...and this song IS a display how much a beast he is by flowing the way he's capable of. For other great displays of flow and storytelling on that album check out My Darling (a lot of metaphorical callbacks to his journey through the hip hop game), Careful What you Wish For, and "Music Box" on Relapse: Refill.

This song is just drenched with genius. The word play, the rhyme scheme, the rhymes, the flow, the literal word play with wild and mild, the beat with the heartbeat, and to top it off the story with the perspective of a killer. As a criminologist understanding the psyche of some of the people he mentioned in the song is what I do. Not only does he have the graphic ways people get murdered but he does an excellent job at playing the part. How he struggles with himself to not kill but can't help himself is exactly what happens to a lot of the notorious serial killers. It's a secret they can't tell anybody because they enjoy doing evil things. Eminem further exposes his genius by his understanding of human psychology blended into his art. He's obviously a fan of learning about serial killers and how and why they do the things they do. This is why I'm astonished when anyone says he peeked at Marshall Mathers LP or that he's not even in the top 10 of best rappers of all time. This song alone with the amount of skill and creativity trounces 90% of rapper resumes imo and this isn't even his in his top 5 ever made. Rap God title is deserved because he earned it with his hard work and sacrifice. But I guess I'm a STAN for saying this and not because I appreciate genius when I see it, so just disregard everything I said.
@C.Curtis992 жыл бұрын
Well said, he uses a unique understanding and perspective using his insane word play and skills to create a story of a killer. It’s interesting too as Eminem had a troubled childhood and said a few times in his music that if he never had rap and people around him like D12 and his daughters he could’ve been another serial killer so they along with his skill for rap saved him from that life and could also be putting his dark thoughts whilst on drugs in to music form to keep his potentially dark ways at bay???🤷🏻♂️

@@C.Curtis99 you're not wrong he could have turned out to have been the most prolific serial killer rather than rapper LOL he would have made the zodiac killer look like your typical bandit who gets caught robbing a convenience store.
