Some of the catchiest riffing I’ve heard in videos for ages. Tone is awesome. 🎶

The JCM has the right character in its tone. A bit more bite, girth and openness, but the Origin isnt bad either. Certainly usable in a high gain scenario.

I feel like you can dial in some more tilt, presence or treble and get the ORI50 to sound like the 800. It's prettttty close. Maybe even just some different tubes, if you're using the stock tubes. Again - the ORI50 isn't designed to be a high gain monster like the JCM, but it wouldn't take much to put it to that territory. Well, it's IN that territory now - wouldn't take much to get it right on I think. Psyched I just snagged one brand new for $450!

I think the origin would make a fine doom metal amp

Great tones, nicely but not overly saturated. Not sure if it's just me but I can't really tell the difference. Just a bit more gain in JCM800.

Origin sounds good, but the 800 has that BITE. It’s got FANGS

I've noticed all of these budget type amps in comparison videos lack warm low mids

Not taking anything away from the Origin, but that 800 just has a snarl to it. But if you're playing low and slow with a fuzz, the origin can stand on its own. I'm sure with the right pedal the origin will chug. I think people hate on the origin cause its the current "boomer" amp

How did you get them to sound like Pantera?

For my wallet I keep on trying to find reasons not to buy a jcm800 and failing

Origin sounds good but not that good. A lot of post production for it on this video

Try turning the volume up on the amp… cutting a little bit of the highs and a little bit of the lows doesn’t constitute “a lot of post production”. Cheers -Ryan
