I’ve owned one for 3 or 4 years. Makes me smile every time I play thru it. Run mine into two Marshall 4x10s.

Those initial clean sounds are really the gems. I agree with your take: dialed in just right, there is something magical about the Marshall clean tone; it's dusky, earthy, and can transport the listener to a completely different world.

I run my SV20 through a 2061cx cab with the anniversary speakers and had Sour Mash make me a "B" cab to match it and put greenbacks in it. Love the sound.

Great tones and playing, Jack. That amp does sound killer.

I use Marshall SV20 with two Orange 112 closed back cabinets with Celestion V30. It sounds amazing. Well done Marshall.👍

Ive been gigging this amp for about 4 years with greenbacks. Sounds best in 20 watt mode. I do use a Fryette attenuator to take off some decibels or the sound guys and band mates complain about stage volume. Perfect amp for vintage Rock. Only amp I have or have eved had that rivals it in tone is my Vox 50th anniversary AC30 H2 with blues.

Are you also going through the studio vintage 2x12 cab?
@RaiderJay90927 күн бұрын
@@quocpham8738 I run it with 2 1x12 greenback cabs.

I have a dsl20 and for how much I play and finances are what they are it works. I want this Amp and a soldano slo 30 and a Friedman plex 😅

I usually go jumpered into the high treble channel or with a y cable into both top inputs. Another cool way to run it is to go into the top normal channel with a germanium treble booster. Cleans up with the guitars volume pot.

Love my SV20. I use it with my UAD OX Box for recording at home sounds killer. Some pedals that pair well with it are: king of tone, Klon and Rat circuit.

How does this compare to the JTM studio ?
@tymanngruter1808Ай бұрын
Fantastic for little gigs and the studio, but use an 4 times 12 inch cab for the best result! ♨️

Thats heavy to move. I use a 212 with a greenback and v30

I just took out a creamback and put the original speaker back in. Tried a greenback too but in the combo i think the factory fitted speaker works best, who would have thought?

V types are better speakers than they get credit for

Do a comparison between this and the DSL40CR, love to know the difference.

💥❤️my SV 20H, so different than my DSL40CR. The DSL is in a head box I made and both sit on a 1960a cab run dual mono 8ohms. Perfect match for my needs. The DSL has more cut and using the footswitch it covers clean and more mid-focused tone on ultra 1 channel. The DSL’s extra watts are nice. If I had to pick I would find the DSL able to cover more sonic ground but I am lucky not to have to pick, I use both fed by a Helix Floor and pedal board-- love it❤️❤️

Take out the top V-Type and replace it with an M65 Creamback. DO IT. And for anybody with the combo, put in a WGS Veteran 10. DO IT! I also like the Mojotone BV25M and BV30H in the 2x12. TRY IT. I'm not Simon, but I'm telling you what he says. You're using the same patch jumper as me. TWINKIES!

I have both kinds one by 12 creamback; and a 4 by 12 and 2 by 12 of the V's... TBH I like both... The cream back is definitely louder speaker.. but I think the vs personally sound closer to what a vintage Marshall -the few I've played -sound like. . I also think it depends on how dark your guitar is... I like the cream back because I tend to use treble -heavy guitars ... But for a dark guitar I would honestly suggest the V

Greenbacks
@CraigFlowersMusicАй бұрын
@ The mojotone bv25M is a far far better greenback than any modern reissue or any other clone, the only match is a vintage pulsonic g12m for $1k, and you’ll find they are no better than the mojotone. I would stake my third leg on it.
