Such a good issue, and despite Lucy's long career in Herbal healing, her enthusiasm is infectious. I love that she mentioned herbs which spring up in your garden when you need them - this past summer, I saw a stranger in my garden, and let her come along until I could identify her. She is marshmallow! I can hardly wait until spring to see how she does in her second year.

I loved this episode, Rosalee. The delight in the beautiful herbs from both of you was so contagious and I found myself smiling throughout the entire interview. Thank you for introducing me to Lucy Jones. Regarding the bees and marshmallow ... if you put your nose right on the flower and sniff, the flowers have the most wonderful soft, sweet scent. It's a secret scent and the bees know all about it.

Thank you so much for this information. On the Homegrown Herbalist channel on youtube, he was a vet for 30 years and he used marshmellow to treat rattlesnake bites. He said that marshmellow can revise any dying flesh from a rattlesnake bite.

Thank you for this interview. Ordered book, cannot wait to read it. I made marshmallow tallow balm for sunburnes last spring and it is wonderfull. I also made it for face and it is my favourite facial tallow balm. It heals skin from windburn or drieness in couple of hours.

Great discussion! Im a market farmer who put some marshmallow in the corner of one of my rows to promote diversification in the garden area. I must say it is a fabulous plant and as you mentioned the Bees here in prairie of Kansas enjoyed it. I'd really like to find others to share it with next year as I had so much in just a 10 foot section. Shout out to the Methow Valley! Appreciated at a farm just a valley over near Chelan Lake, what a beautiful area ! Thanks for the content. Say hi to Skeeter for me

This was wonderful to learn about and I am ordering both books. I really want to grow mine own herbs. I am slowly growing them and I have grown Comfrey. I want to grow marshmallow.

Forgot to say Juliette used marshmallow leaves and I think geranium. She often used laying on of the leaves for healing. Janet from Scotland.
