Good to see Joel back fishing with you. My son moved about 5 hours away, got married, started a family and got a "Big Boy" job teaching Audio Engineering. He rarely gets to come fish with me here in SouthEast Texas / SouthWest Louisiana. What industry did Joel get his "Big Boy" job? I watch ALL of your videos. Keep them coming!

As a proud father of a nine year old boy, I await the days of fishing with a capable adult version of my son. Sure there is no better fishing partner. That being said, where the heck is the trash talking of yesterday year??!! A little less respect and a little more “I’m going to throw you in the water you son of a….!”

After further review, Todd was disqualified because Joel caught a keeper trout on the ultra-light and Todd did not switch to ultra-light as per the rules.

Yeah, in hindsight, I agree. To punish myself, on my next trip, I will use nothing but left-handed reels
@haydenmichelli306524 күн бұрын
@@MarshManMasson sir, those are left hand reels haha
@barrywuthrich853023 күн бұрын
@@MarshManMasson I'm left-handed, cast left-handed, and use only right-handed reels. lol I can't reel with my left hand to save my life.

@ 20:30 could it be that the redfish spooked bass off? For whatever reason if im on a hot trout bite, then I catch a redfish or two, the trout bite slows dramatically then stops. I’ve also seen too many times where an area will be holding trout, for multiple trips over the course of a of week or two, then out of no where that area is holding way fewer trout and bull reds took their place
