FUCK YES!!! Thank you so much for uploading this! This was my very first NHL game (at about age 12) and it was one of the most amazing things I have ever witnessed. Brodeur jumped literally about 3 feet in the air. Epic.

Marty was my first idol in hockey and always will be. He is not only my favorite player but my idol and who I look up to and I hope to meet him and shake his hand someday, and get a autograph. He scored 2 goals, has 3 cups, gone to 5 finals, 4 or 5 vezinas, broke countless records, and is still playing. favorite goalie. period.

Well said. Brodeur is surely a great goalie and his accomplishments speak for themselves, BUT as you said, his rank on the all-time list is only arguable, not definite. There is a tendency too often nowadays to attribute "best ever" status to the latest person to do something special. In reality, Brodeur owes a lot to pioneers like Glenn Hall, Terry Sawchuk, Ken Dryden, Ron Hextall and Patrick Roy. It's nice to see someone with a clue enter into these conversations.

Not to mention Martin Brodeur missed TWO FULL seasons due to lockouts. Both were during his prime years. Try adding those wins, shutouts, etc he may have gotten or stanley cups. He missed half a season to injury and now another shortened lockout season. Lundqvist missed no seasons to lockout.
