I have more respect for Marty Stuart and the Fabulous Superlatives than most any other Country Band I know. Those guys are simply meant to play together.

My cousin Karl Dean Thiel passed away two months ago today. He spent almost all of his life as a long haul trucker, and he was proud to be one. I don't know if he ever heard this song but it describes him perfectly. R.I.P. Cuz' See you on down the road someday.

Truck driving songs seemed to be a thing of the past but Marty changed that with this classic; great words, great groove, hot guitar picking what more can there be? Love it!

David Bruce I agree with you. This is a great album. This is my go to road album when driving to gigs. These guys outshine anything that comes out of "country music" radio; within the first 4 bars.

I hate to admit I only discovered this now. Damn this song hits me where I come alive those late nights trucking thru west Texas. This, 14 gears ( Midland ) and Seminole wind does what coffee can't on those late nights. Love it!

He is the true keeper of the flame. He knows what County is and he is as big a musical treasure as anyone else in all of Music. He walks and talks it. Country radio would not even know what to do with this song.

That album is freakin fabulous! Been listening 2 Marty since he was a kid. and the treat just keeps getting better. As a Chicagoland transplant 2 CA later in life, and only 5 yrs ago, this album has all kinda greatness and u captured the vibe. Wish I had seen the Grass Vally show last year, but other things in my way. Now I will finally see this awesomeness in Sacramento in a couple months. So delighted that I can see this here. I happened to fall in love with CA too. Took a long time, but how sweer now. So looking forward to seeing and feeling this music live! Thx Marty and crew for being so original and creative, and oh, that band!,

you got Mike Campbell legendary heartbreaker of Tom Petty's band by the year before we lost Tom. one behind the production of this whole album Marty picked them he said I want you to produce this album and they came up with some really great songs too they took Marty's vision and Mike Campbell's great production everybody knows if you listen to some rock and roll through the years along with the Heartbreakers and he wrote the boys a summer that Don Henley covered and a whole lot more through the years along with Petty and the Heartbreakers material.

Great tune, well done Marty and Superlatives! A lot of folks complaining about not playing this type of authentic music on the radio... who cares?... broadcast radio is dead in my view. The last AM country station in Denver went off the air probably a decade ago and that seemed like the end of an era to me. Now oldies stations that used to play 50s and 60s rock are playing 80s garbage like Supertramp. I'll gladly pay 8 or 10 dollars a month for Spotify or Google play music so I can listen to what I want. Why waste time listening to advertisements and "hick hop" country? life it too short!

Frank Wolf KHYI out of Dallas plays this plus a whole lot more. They mix Red Dirt/Texas country which includes great Texas area artists plus new music like this from big stars Nashville kicked to the curb but are still putting out great music. plus they play the classics. They have a free app to listen. KHYI 95.3 The Range. You won't hear ANY pop or bro country. Give it a listen.
