Hey, man, ever since being stuck in quarantine I've picked up guitar and looked through many websites, apps, and videos teaching guitar to beginners. Dude, you are by-far the best in the biz when it comes to guitar lessons on KZbin. I love how it's just one (or 2 easy) chords per lesson. Really gives us beginners the opportunity to focus on learning one thing at a time without being overwhelmed on day 2 lol. Just wanted to say thanks, you've been an amazing resource!

Hi Marty, I took up guitar as a teenager but didn't continue. Instead, I became a drummer in my early twenties and have played for nearly 40 years. I play & sing in a gospel band & last Christmas, my wife bought me a beautiful Martin acoustic six string guitar. She knew how I regretted not keeping up with the guitar and sensed my frustration when I come out from behind my drum kit to be the lead vocalist, yet have to rely on the guitar player for the music. So, I came across your podcast recently and am really enjoying your presentation style and how you teach. I'll keep following your lessons as they're really easy to learn. Your lesson series is superb Marty - thank you. I've tried learning various different things off KZbin but the lesson series I've tried to follow have invariably been useless. The pace is just right for me, and the reassurance that everything will sound rubbish to begin with is very welcome indeed. Actually my G sounded all right straight off, and, listening to your comments, I found myself feeling pleased with myself that it wasn't too plunky! I must say I can't get the A chord to sound nice though. I'm finding a 2-1-3 fingering working best at the moment, but I'm still struggling to get my fingers reliably near enough to the fret without touching each others' strings. Bah!

So far I've been on repeat on this video trying to master it... So far all i have are numb/painful finger tips and a slow transition.

That's definitely tough for me. I'm just learning. I know if I keep at it I'll get better at switching chords.

Just finished lesson 3. Marty I don't know if you get to see these comments but Dude! I'm loving your lessons! I'm 63 and just retired. Me and my old army buddy challenged each other to learn the guitar, we had wanted to play all our lives. He found you on U Tube and told me. Love your whole vibe and personality, thanks for what you do sir!!!

I bought a guitar back in 2010 and could never really stuck with it. I watched your video three weeks ago and not I at leas pick up this guitar everyday. Thanks for helping me to realize that this aint going to happen in one day, or one week. Thanks for giving me the mindset to practice through my failures.

Ok, I am hooked now. Have always avoided using a pick and strumming. So I went to fingerpicking. Pulled out the pick tonight and I am having a blast. What took me so long!

Even the sound of simple chords gives me chills up my spine. I'm 25 now and never found the time outside of work and life to learn guitar. I'm now binging these videos and don't even have a guitar in my possession. The way you explain everything is so clear I'm hooked
