Game 1 looked like my platinum 1 games. Zerg absorbs early Terran aggression, turtles for a few minutes, builds mass mutalisk and wins. It’s nice to know the pros are capable of low skill games

TvZ meta atm Zerg wants to win, plays standard, makes banelings and move command them into worker lines or PFs, repeat a couple of times and Terran leaves the game. Zerg wants to lose, make roaches or ravagers and autolose to 10 stimmed marines.

That game 5 was why I watch SC. Shame to see the rest of the series was still the muta meta [haven't tuned in in months]. Metas where one player is forced to all-in/timing attack before the OP units get out is really boring and not strategic I find. Better than the infestor + GGlord days, but still, doesn't make me want to watch any TvZ.

At 16:30 in game 5 (1:02:34), Chitinous Plating still is not done yet and by that point Maru has basically won with +3 Marauders. By the time it finishes, Dark is down at 150 supply and no bank.

@@tigera6 Also upgrades for Maru were better timed. Dark had to switch back to melee upgrades after opening Roach/Ravager

Not sure how its taken me this long to find this channel but I like your casting style. As entertaining Tastosis is, I've noticed that they miss a lot of smaller plays and just keep bantering between each other. I love their style to death but if you don't already understand how this game works then their casts do fall a bit flat (although they are good at explaining metagame plays).

I don't quite understand the Roach strategy Dark was trying to use. It was a complete blowout every time he went with that tech. Mutalisks were the MVP units on both games he won, he should stick with this since they keep the terran in check.

Why are Zergs so greedy, never want to spend on safety Spinecrawler. Just one or two spines can keep a bunker away and be transfused while tanking. Is one or two spine that expensive instead of lost mining time or loosing multiple drones anyway?

This is only true on the very large maps, which favors muta mobility. The smaller maps, mutas aren't as viable because it's easier to defend.
