I’ve been saying how they should recast Kang to a younger Nathaniel Richards but perhaps to build off your guys’ Civil War 2 theory; replace the future sight Inhuman with a time traveling “good Kang” who has seen our future already. Marvel could retcon the appearance change by eventually revealing that this Ironlad version of Kang is the one responsible for overthrowing a Beyonder and has become the new Kang Prime.

^ Yes, bad writing. lol. Which the MCU knows quite a bit about these days. This is what fans don't get. It's never about how much you like a character in the comics. It's ALWAYS the filmmaking - directing, writing and acting. Film's are not comic books. To that end Stuart is right. No character can be pasted into the MCU and fix any problem. For God Sakes they had - CHRISTIAN BALE as Gorr the God Butcher, this character should go down with Thanos and Darth Vader and Heath Ledger Joker and Hannibal Lector - but they totally turned it into a screaming goat fk, literally. MCU needs better writing and if they stick with the very folks who already destroyed Kang, and Wanda and so many other characters they are going to fail period.

I think what they should've done is built up to both Doom and Kang on the side. Have Kang be the main antagonist of the saga up until Kang Dynasty and play Doom off as the "protagonist" of the multiverse saga being the Nick Fury type building alligances with people around the universe. Until he pulls them all together for Kang Dynasty in a rocky alliance where no one really trust Doom, but he's the only one with a plan, and genuinely wants to protect the world and his people. Until the end of Kang Dynasty when he heel turns, kills Kang and collapses the multiverse, making himself the ruler, believing that in his hands, he can bring peace to all of eternity.

I’m worried that a recast of Kang it might not even happen, which would be a shame. Not really because Marvel Studios would necessarily wanting to complete ignore the character, but because I think other Afro-American actors would be against taking over him. The impression I get from looking at up and coming Afro-American actors and people close to them is that just like a lot of people, they are conflicted with the outcome of the trial, which I find completely understandable. I really want more two Kangs showing up: an older Kang that I think that ideally could be played by Denzel Washington or Giancarlo Esposito and a younger one as Iron Lad. Will it happen is a different question.

So they did want someone who looked similar, if not just directly being Majors himself. I think the emphasis was on Majors because the dude's a great actor with tons of range, and he's young enough to stick around for a really long time. I don't think it ever mattered specifically that he was black, but now that he's been established as Majors, it would be jarring to start throwing in an Asian Kang or a white Kang. Although I argue that would actually be pretty funny. If it was just a totally different person every time they did a new variant.

Great Video, my friends and I second John David Washington as Kang, but we believe the MCU needs a big win… we think they have to call Will Smith. He needs to get back on the side of winning and what greater role than a multiverse hero. Also, Jamie Foxx would be amazing too. MT don’t feel bad brotha, you’re the man! This is another example of the American Criminal Justice System failing a man (Black Man). And I'm done with Disney after this. JM was running for his life, from a crazy woman.
