4:28 It's 8 years since they last saw each other, which isn't necessarily Thor 2. In Age of Ultron, Thor spoke highly of Jane, and it was implied that they were still together. But after Thor left at the end of Age of Ultron, he didn't return to Earth again until Ragnarok, by which time he had already broken up with Jane. Meaning Thor and Jane broke up in-between the end of Age of Ultron and the epilogue where Thor leaves Avengers Compound (in late May 2015). If we assume Thor broke up with her that day, then 8 years, 7 months, and 6 days brings us to about the beginning of January 2024, which works because it's after Endgame, which is in October 2023. The only problem is, if it's January, then Norway should be covered in snow, which it isn't in the trailers. But the math points to January 2024.

Rick is partly right about Gor's origin. It was a focused series but in the end it did take, what three different Thor's to defeat Gor? So that tracks with this film having two Thor's. In addition to Valkyrie and maybe someone like Hercules, Zeus or Ares.

It most definitely 8 years from Thor’s perspective because of the blip. However, if you count from November 8, 2013 Thor: The Dark World’s release date to July 8, 2022 the release date of Thor Love and Thunder it’s 8 years and 8 months. So it could also be a fun little reference to when we last saw Jane in The Dark World.

Christian Bale as Gorr looks dope AF! The idea of this being one of most colorful mcu films and the main villain comes in and takes it all away in a monochrome pallet is very striking. I’m interested if they address the origins of his powers in the movie. I’ll lose my sh!t if they pull off something similar like what they did with Chthon in MoM. Like tease and hint at a certain character who is a huge threat in the comics. Edit: Not to discredit Gorr BTW. If he’s anything like his comic counter part he’ll be a threat in his own right.

I’m excited to see how far Taika Waititi will push the Symbiote mythos on Gorr. I know Sony has rights to those characters, they did allow a version of Venom to exist in the MCU, so maybe they will allow characters like Knull to exist in the MCU.

Looks like the Necrosword is definitely having an effect on his appearance. He goes from Christian Pale to having black goo oozing from his mouth, scars on his face, & at one point being in a room surrounded by black symbiotic tentacles. Someone online even enhanced the shot of him in the shadows & his nose looks deformed. I love the creepiness & him being the butcher of colors. The noir/necroplane is a great contrast to the vibrant energy Thor’s crew has.

Bale as Gorr has the potential to be one of, if not the scariest villain put to screen in a Marvel film yet. Taika and several of the cast have already hyped Bale up as such multiple times, and I doubt we'll be disappointed lol. He's one of the best actors in the business hands down. Cannot wait to see his portrayal of the character.

Valkry is also using one of Zeus’s lightning bolts to fight him! Think it’s cool she is able to hold it and use it as a weapon. Also find it strange how Thor changed uniforms at least 3 different powered up outfits can be seen in this trailer. Perhaps multiple Thors and Janes. Multiverse is tricky!

In MCU the year when Endgame happened is 2023. And looks like this takes place pretty soon after Endgame since he's still with Guardians. That would mean Thor and Jane broke up in year 2015. So in the same year Age of Ultron took place. Thor did talk about Jane in Age of Ultron as she was still his girlfriend.

i watched a russell crowe movie called unhinged and that was like less than 2 years ago, and for me, was a good fun little psychological horror that he did.

The Mummy?? The man was Jor-El in Man of Steel 😭 Edit: Yes I am dumb 😂 Thought Aaron was on about the older mummy films and I did think to myself I didn’t remember Russell Crowe in those films but hadn’t seen them for a long time. I’d completely forgot the 2017 The Mummy existed… I just remembered 😂

Thor and Jane were still together in Age of Ultron, which was 2015. They split up between then and 2017. Endgame time-jumped 5 years after the Snap, putting it in 2023. The MCU is (as of Multiverse of Madness) only in 2024 - 2 years ahead of realtime. So makes sense that they split up in 2016, 8 years prior for Thor. For Jane, it's only been "3 or 4 years" because she was dusted in the Snap, as shown in the opening to Endgame

Every time I hear Sweet Child Of Mine I think of the Stepbrothers movie. It's ingrained. There's nothing that can be done to reverse this.
