Great stuff,BTW practicing with Hulk yesterday after watching your video I discovered that Hulk has an hard knockdown,and it's pretty easy :you do the gamma charge in the corner OTG with the CR.HK then gamma charge again wait an instant go for the air charge you will miss while in the air HK and you have an hard knockdown,that's very good for reset.

one thing i LOVE about hulk that you didn't mention is if you are getting comboed, and you use your combo breaker, you can QCF-LK and knock the enemy away from your ally. it works like 98% of the time. sometimes you do it right as they are doing something that hits through your charge, but most of the time it saves your other char. its a great thing.

Incredible Punch is useful for certain air series where jHK doesn't connect such as if the enemy is too high for jHK or if the combo has been extended and the longer start up on jHK will cause the combo to drop.

5:12 Reality storm could theoretically hold enemy in hitstun while Hulk performs the gamma wave hyper combo, if anything except LP connected. Off of HP fire, I'm sure you'd have to time it just right because of the interference gamma wave would cause with the angle of the fire, plus HP fire can be used defensively like that. HK or LK would likely be the best way to get that max damage, using them as confirms, but they're less of a defensive option in a corner situation. One wonders if any of them cause too much hitstun reduction for it to work...Time for a test, methinks. Best thing is to move into the corner yourself and bait the tactics necessary. Some players just plain and simple won't bite, or can't see their opportunity.

I'm a beginner in this game (but have played all previous Marvel games). I've been trying Hulk, Cap & Haggar. This info really helps. I've seen combo videos (of stuff that's hard to do in a match), but general info's vital. I've had a tough time getting superjump cancels to work for some reason. (down, up, down) Not sure why though... Thanks for posting.

It can be an annoyance I am not sure if you are on pad or stick but for either here's my advice. stick) the only direction that specifically matters is your jumping direction, you can do the other 2 downs in any direction you want so just do whatever fastest/most comfortable to you. pad) you can use the ball of your jump to quickly get the motion and I find that helps more than just tapping the dpad fast with the tip of it.

Ok, that should help. I'm on pad (though I've always wanted an arcade stick) I've been stuck on Cap's Challenge #10 because I just couldn't get it. Thanks so much. Checking out some of your other vids too!

Ahh I wouldn't stress about getting an arcade stick. Sticks are for us old folks who grew up in the arcades at this point. All fighting games made in the last 6-7 years are very, very playable on pad. Heck I even prefer MK and guilty gear on pad vs the arcade stick.

the other day i was trying to do a wall bounce combo that put me in the corner so i could catch the opponent's fall with gamma tsunami and carry him across the screen but the super was so slow that wasn't hitting... when i finally made it hit it only carried for half screen... i think it was because hulk's partner took too long to leave, but it might be possible also i hope that venom has a super like this and easier to set up by web balls or something like his throw in mvc1

Its an odd interaction to be sure. Only a handful of moves have that screen transition effect that gamma wave has.

Hey RFM, is there a reason you didn't mention hulk's dash jump distance? looking at that mechanic for hulk it seems much more significant than most of the cast.

I might add some match videos soonish? Lately been in and out of province and plus learning all these new characters = me losing a lot with not a lot of great play heh since learning doesn't usually provide high quality matches to watch. After doing all this character videos I kinda don't even have a "team" anymore since every week im learning someone new.

yea, ive been playing hulk since launch, and he has a serious problem against heavy air chars. his upwards charge is seriously punishable for those who know how too. too many times did i try the double charge and get caught. ive spent so much time trying to get hulk down, but hes just such a shallow char, i had to give him up for a another well rounded char. anyone who knows hulks kit, can just make him completely useless. im sad i had to let him go.
