Ultron simply blast there energy towards the enemy.

I think he was able to get the stones easier because maybe in his universe, the stones ended up in different areas of that universe. Maybe in Ultra-Vision's universe, the soul stone never ended up on Vormir, and the reality stone was never turned into a liquid, and so on.

Here is the hard part on that though The soul stone needed a sacrifice and the soul stone been on there since as far as we know in 1942 We know this because Red Skull been transported on Vormir in that year Ultron was created in 2015 MCU timeline So yeah The reality stone stopped being a sludge when put on the capsule the Asgardians created

@@kindplanet1 I suppose, but then again, this is "What If...?", things could've happened differently. Maybe in Ultra-Vision's timeline things played out similarly, but not the same. Maybe Red Skull didn't touch the Tesseract to end up on Vormir. Maybe the Soul Stone never landed there and no one would have to sacrifice someone they love to get it. Maybe the Reality Stone never ended on Svartalfheim (the home of the Dark Elves), and Malekith never turned it into the Aether. Maybe the Time Stone never ended up on Earth and there is no Eye of Agamotto. Maybe the Mind Stone landed on Earth and was never in the hands of Loki, or perhaps things could have played out the same when it comes to the Mind Stone. Then Ultron succeeds in putting his programming into Vision, and because of what I listed out, he was able to find the stones easier using the Mind Stone to communicate with the other stones in order to locate them. But again, we have to wait and see if they give us and explanation. I do understand your concern, what do you think could happen? I would love to theorize about what could happen. I would be interested in hearing your thoughts on how Ultra-Vision came into possession of the stones. Do you have any ideas? Also, do you think the finale will be a two-parter, since there are 2 episodes left in the season?

You know, at the time when vision was being created, let's say Ultron did go through with getting the synthasoid body. He would have taken over the planet and the Infinity Stones that were on it at the time. Later on Thanos sending his children to go get them within lead Ultron to getting the rest of the stones. Thanos coming to Earth to get them and being destroyed by Ultron.

Zombie Thanos had all the stones, except the mind stone, which was going to Wakanda. All Ultron has to really do is find a way to transcend into that universe and ice zombie Thanos, then he has the full set. Maybe in the universe Ultra Vision is from, Ultron learned of the quantum realm and found a way to harness it to jump realities.

@Goblin dafoe gotta keep in mind the Mind Stone wouldn't have been acquired the same way in the Party Thor universe. Loki - presumably - never invaded Earth with the Scepter/Mind Stone, so Tony couldn't create Ultron 3 years later. It's still possible Thanos, The Other and the Chitari could have someone else lead the invasion, though.

The Thor episode doesn't have to take place in 2011. The events of Thor happen when they do because of events reliant on Loki being in Asgard to cause them. Realistically, the Thor episode could have easily happened around the time of Ultron (which also wouldn't happen at the same time due to Loki not bringing the mind stone to Earth).

Same universe, different timeline = working stones. I'm not sure about the true rules of the TVA, whether stones just don't work there or when out of their universe's. But I've always thought of it as a loophole in Loki, when the Loki variant could have been easily apprehended using their stock on infinity stones of the same universe. But to answer your question, as long as the stones are from the same universe, they will work. But a stone from another universe won't work on other universes. So the confusion comes when the UltraVision is able to travel universes and use the stones. Or maybe he is still in his own universe and that is where the final battle will commence.

What if…this Ultron is in the same timeline and successfully fused with the Vision body and defeated the Avengers of this universe. In time, he would learn more from the mind stone the way vision did and learn of the other stones. This would cause him to voyeur off looking for the other stones and use the time stones to travel back in time. This is why the time stone is in the middle and why the stones still work.

Nightmare is correct. This pointless discussion will go on, but the comix are not and never have been and never will be canon to the MCU. The stones work in every Universe. Vision is alive because of the mind stone. If you think the stones stop working then he *would die* the moment he traveled the multiverse. Plus Dr. Strange's time stone would be useless as a multiverse weapon to begin with. The MCU appears to have some zombie processes, and overclocked wizard that buffer-overflowed all the daemons, malware that acquired several root privileges, a corrupt compression algorithm that killed several core processes of Avengers.exe, untrusted external applications consuming local resources, a serious bug with no way home and a multithreaded indexing service. It needs Howard Stark to push some more buttons.

Perhaps Ultron could store some power from his own universe somewhere, like what Doctor Who had to do to fix his TARDIS while he was trapped in a parallel reality, or he could have simply created something that would allow him to cross realities, and could leave the portal open, which technically could anchor the reality stones to his reality, thus maybe allowing them to still be active.

Ultra-Vision could just be traveling through time, the same way the Avenger brought back the infinity stones from the past in End Game, and since the stones are in the same universe they still work!... and maybe the stones from the future and the present could just turn into two pieces of a larger infinity stone (we've seen the stones change their size and shape before)

Oh. That's a good question. Would vision just die if he goes anywhere outside of a timeline? (TVA, The Void, The Citadel at the end of time). In infinity war they did say vision could continue to function without the mind stone, if it was remove correctly. Maybe it just becoming "disabled" wouldn't cause any damage and Vision would continue to live. Vision is Ultron + Jarvis + Mindstone. He would become just Ultron + Jarvis. (and Chronopolis is kind of a gray area I think, even though the time works different in the quantum realm I'd say it is still "in" a timeline, no? I'd still expect the stones to still work in the quantum realm)

Ok two points: 1) couldn't Ultron have defended Earth against Thanos and won? Instead of going on Infinity Quest he could have let Thanos bring them to him. +1 for Tony's suit of armor idea. 2) we don't actually have confirmation the stones were used. That portal could have been made from different tech. Stones could be ornamental at this point.

IMHO it's just animation detail. Just like how there's a glowing 'stone' on the mask that Ultravision wears before revealing the real stone underneath. But there's potentially a bigger misdirect: What if that isn't Ultron, but Vision outright? In that case, there's a clear candidate of who he might sacrifice to get the soul stone, and also a clear rationale on why he's searching through the multiverse.

Something to keep in mind for this episode, The Watcher looked very surprised by Ultron coming through that portal. What if Ultron being a super computer A.I. makes him be able to understand the Stones full possibilities more than natural "lower" life forms like, nearly anything other than Celestials and higher beings. Also maybe Ultron kind of turned himself into The Infinity Armor when he put the Stones into himself instead of on a receptacle(like the Gauntlet). Which would give him even more power and control over the Stones than the Infinity Gauntlet. Maybe allowing further travel to other universes while keeping the power of the Stones.

Maybe the difference in this universe is when he first connected to the internet, he accessed SHIELDs files detailing where the mind and space stone are, as well as their contact with alien life. Now knowing about the two stones and that aliens are no better than humans, he realizes that he could aquire the stones to wipe out the universe instead of the planet.

Maybe the reason that the stones are working across timelines is because the sacred timeline collapsed. In Loki, the stones could only work in their designated timelines WHILE the sacred timeline was intact. Maybe the multiverse fracturing also means that stones work across timelines, as a result of not having one unified sacred timeline. just a thought

They are from the same universe just from the past, now taking the stones from the past did infact cause a branch but only in that moment the stones were taken, thats why they had to be put back in the exact time they were taken to make sure it doesn't become a different universe

Actually this isn't as impossible as we think, I mean remember in Endgame the Avengers essentially brought infinity stones from alternate timelines (well they would become alternate timelines after their interference) and yes while the each episode of what if has different events they are still the same universe, the Marvel Cinematic Universe just altered Sooo technically the infinity stones can still work as their still technically in the same universe just an altered version of it As for the Nexus point that birthed this version of Ultron I have a sneaking suspicion it may of been that moment where Vision killed the last Sentry, perhaps he felt potty and hesitated for a split second giving Ultron the moment to attack and possibly forcibly transfer to Vision, then he decides to play the waiting game till maybe infinity war where he acts using the phasing ability to still the nearly complete gauntlet and then turns it's power on both Thanos and the heroes of earth

I disagree... 'Cause ultimately it was the same timeline. They brought them from the past, into the future and then brought them right back to prevent any paradoxes. Though I can't say how that works with Thanos' army coming into the future and then never going back 'cause Tony dusted them. (That's a really interesting idea for how Ultron-Vision happened.)

It’s 2011 & 3000011 in every universe. The tear in the multiverse in Loki just changed the way everything played out it did not say that one moment you are driving in your flying car and then branch in your timeline and boom you’re to understand fire. This ultron may be a time traveler if in this universe Bruce banner and Tony Stark made him but he also may be made by somebody else in this universe and the reason he appeared through a void is because he may transporting from another planet because he just got an infinity stone. He may also just be from another universe and is going through to another reality although then the stones would be useless.
