It's a great scene, but doesn't fit the movie's pacing, mood, nor category at all. All we needed was one side of the proverbial phone call, which was Nebula sending a message to Mantis telling them to go to Titan, and what's what we got in the movie. Also, it would look stupid if we saw Nebula sending message after message after message, so it only showed her send one. This movie wasn't a comedy, so all of this was all left on the cutting floor.

@@orlyihan361 that entirely depends on what part of the movie they had intended this scene to be in. Star Lord mentioned 5 hours passing so it’s not like it was a back to back scene from when Gamora is taken. I fail to see how it would’ve ruined the pacing.

@@ellisonjordan7915 In the movie, this scene would have been between the scene with Nebula sending a message to Mantis and the scene where Mantis and Guardians meet Iron-Man, Dr. Strange, and Spider-Man on Titan (1:17:00). The pacing was very fast. The tone was very serious and dire. If they included this scene, 2 minutes of comedy would have felt out of place in this section of the movie.

If Thanos is meant to be the "hero" of Infinity War while the Avengers are supposed to be the "bad guys", than this scene would portray the Guardians as the incompetent fools whose actions ultimately cost everyone else victory because they're too stupid to do anything right. The MCU basically deconstructed everything that made it well-known for up to that point!

@@ShayjayAP Not at all! I actually enjoy the Guardians of the Galaxy and their antics. I'm just trying to se from Thanos' point of view for the duration of Infinity War since, ironically enough, he's the film's protagonist, and thus the characters who would normally be the stars of the show are essentially the antagonists. In their point of view, this movie would basically be some form of tragedy, trying to fight a battle that they're destined to lose. I'm simply looking into both perspectives of the conflict.
