I know X-23 and Synch had a serious relationship when they went on a mission into the "World" with Darwin. Synch and Jubilee were on the verge of something similar in Gen-X then he was killed.

Loooooved this... Jubilee has been my fav since the animated series. Followed her all through high school but fell off reading comics. Thanks for the update on her and knowing her powers have developed even further. Didnt know she can create force field and float and propel herself now. I just remember reading she was so powerful that she could detonate the force of an atom bomb. I hope her potential keeps getting explored and it would make my life if she became a central character in MCU. Such a cool character!

I’ve always loved Jubilee since I first was introduced to her as a kid watching the X-men animated series never understood why MCU never include her in the X-men (until the recent hint in the last x men film) she was a fan favourite the way kitty became she was this mixed race asian American teenager literal bright spark with so much appeal and had a close bond with Wolverine another fan favourite and flagship x-men character.

Jubilee has been my favorite of the X-Men since the early 90s. One of the most well rounded characters in the Marvel universe IMO. If there is enough content, and with the right people writing, she needs a solo movie telling her story.

Jubilee was actually a remodel of a mutant from the 70’s Calle The Dazzler. She was able to create and manipulate light, and later various forms of the electromagnetic spectrum. She was created at the height of the Disco era and cashed in on the fad. Jubilee was later created as a “newer and more hip” version of the Dazzler made for the 90’s; hence why her introduction was in 1989.

I first encountered Jubilee in the 1990s X-Men Animated Series. I was later disappointed by the live action movie to see that Rogue had been made to fit her role as the newbee on the team. In fact, the Rogue character of the movies was pretty lame compared to who Rogue really is. In the cartoon (and I suppose in the comic books too), Rogue can fly and she's very shapely. The actor they picked for the movie role did not fit that description. Jubilee would have been a better choice for the actor they chose.

I made custom Yugioh Cards of some of the X-Ladies from X-Men: Evolution. Goth Rogue is best Rogue. Their card effects (interactions in the game) are based on their powers. Though the art for Jubilee that I used is her 90s animated version. I gave her effects based of her fireworks powers and vampire powers.

Nah, powers weren't retconed but a lot if her later character development and expansion of her powers and skills happened after the series ended. They took some creative liberties for Jubes in the animated series because honestly a lot of her debut and early issues were too extreme for a children's cartoon and understandably had to be changed. Although I do wish they would've acknowledged she was an Olympic level gymnast but still more than happy with what we got, show has aged rather gracefully.

@@christophersherman5404 I'm right there with you. In fact I'd say Jubilee has a lot in common with Kitty Pryde on that regard. Both characters had introductions in tense situations that implied they're young but capable (thank you Chris Claremont) but other writers have struggled with or don't know what to do with them until recently. Kitty Pryde in particular, has had a lot of growth over the last 5 years, and that's after being brought back in the spot light in Astonishing X-Men which also had some great moments and then dropping off the map. Jubilee is very similar, she spent her first issues with Wolverine hop scotching around the world and facing a lot of crazy situations, before being placed onGeneration X for her "formal" training to be an X-Man she had already been to Mojo world, faced the Brood twice, fought Omega Red twice (and he won both times against no less than 6 X-Men and soloed them), the Reavers, the Hand, and the Phalanx, oh and throw in some Sentinels for good measure. Keep in mind she's not sitting on the sidelines in these events girls in an active combatant and lived through it all before getting a formal education on how to survive this. If you want someone who regularly pulls her weight, is actually kick ass but gets very little credit for her contributions Jubilee is it. She was the person talked Wolverine down when Apocalypse made him a Hroseman and nearly killed the X-Men, she did that alone when everyone was beaten and the girl had no fear at all during the interaction. They're an inside joke in her solo series that one of the reasons Jubilee hasn't been a have a series relationship with anyone is because she measures all her prospective romantic interests against Wolverine and everyone else falls short of the bar. At the very least ever since Hickman kinda soft rebooted X-Men they've become very interesting, don't keep up as much as I'd like but I'm hoping mote stuff happens since Jubilee is on the Xaliber team (with Apocalypse if you can believe that) so wonder what's gonna happen there.
