This was a really good documentary on this Classic Anthology Series that should have gotten 5 Seasons. Losing John D. Lemay was sad, but having a romantic relationship with Johnny & Mickey would have been nice to see. To me, this was the last great Anthology Series. Thanks for again for doing this Documentary.

I didnt give this show a look when it fist started as I was kind of over my Jason phase. I watched it later on late nite when it was on with Wild Wild West reruns. I was hooked and had a HUGE crush on Robey. It was also one of the first shows I remember that the good guys didnt always win at the end of the episode.

Some of the guest actors portrayed multiple characters. Two, for example, was Mikki's fiancé, who appeared as a highschool heartthrob, and the girl in "Vanity's Mirror" portrayed a street kid in "13 O'clock". The lead villain and the lady ballet dancer from the episode "Maestro" would, respectively, re-appear as the villain in "Mightier Than the Sword" and the college girl in "The Charnel Pit".

This show was a huge part of my childhood. I do remember wondering why the show had that title when Jason never showed up, that's how much Jason is tied to the title. To me Ryan was the show. I did like the trio but he was the heart of the show that Mulder was to the X-files. And when he left....that was that. I really did appreciate that they casted him as the the lead in Jason Goes To Hell. That meant a lot dor die-hard fans I believe.

This show was obviously the inspiration for the X-files. Red haired girl, older guy who feeds the team info on what to do next etc. I think this show would be more famous if the title hadn't confused people into thinking it had something to do with Jason Vorhees.... Even now on the internet, if you look this show up it'll give you 1000 results about Jason first! :(

6:45 "The Poison Pen" Assuming that the production had a huge budget, they could have at least given Robey (Mikki) a shorter-haired wig, a prosthetic beard, mustache and or goatee or some other masculine makeup. Her "disguise" in that episode was so unrealistic and could have easily given her away.

But I find the theory that the series was the spiritual template for The X-Files much more interesting. (She's red-haired and skeptical, he's dark-haired and into the supernatural, both solve cases)

Why on earth name the show after a movie series that will never be referenced in the show? Its pure click bait and the reason why whenever I heard that intro music, I changed the channel before it finished. Imagine if jasons mask kept popping up everywhere, real ones and fake ones, but they just could never get a hold of it and instead went after a different item until the mask surfaced again. Could have done a long running story how it got to crystal lake and so much more.
