As a solo artist, he is best known for his unique high tenor register, strong falsetto and hits like "Who's Johnny" and "Love Always". He's also collaborated with artists such as Dionne Warwick, Al Green, Lalah Hathaway, Tone Loc, Babyface, Faith Evans, Quincy Jones, Fourplay, and DJ Quik. DeBarge is a five-time Grammy Award nominee.

Ghost, if Marvin would have recorded that song FIRST. it would have been a BIG hit for him. and then El coming back to record it on himself 2 or 3 years later. it would have been a BIG hit for him, like it was...it would have doubled, Tripled El's royalties...MANY artists since the 80's re-made that classic/ALL THIS LOVE.

60 year old white male here who grew up in mixed family and on Mowtown. I love both Marvin and El Debarge and I would have loved to hear that version of one of my favorite songs. When Michael Jackson said he used to look out the window from Motown studios and watch the kids playing in the park across the street I may have even been one of them. That was Poinsettia Park a few blocks from where I lived at the time.
