He talks about his new single, Sexual Healing, about money & tax problems that caused him to leave the United States, and about believing Motown ripped him off on royalties owed. Thanks for posting this. I don’t care where Marvin’s head was. Whatever personal demons he had was his business. The main thing is when it came to his music, he always delivered. His music is heard today in movies, TV, commercials etc. That alone shows that real genuine talent is timeless.

Marvin appeared weary and tired at this point. He looked very sad, lonely, and much older than the mid 40s he actually was. He was like an idol to me growing up, and I still can't get enough of his songs and interviews decades later! 😥

Marvin’s father was a cross dresser. Three of his uncles were homosexuals. Marvin also experimented with cross dressing.

When you marry the boss of Motown's sister and have a messy divorce you get problems, He had the last laugh on Motown coming back with a number one hit "Sexual Healing" and winning his first ever Grammy also in 1983, things were looking good until his dad murdered him the following year, it's probably more likely in hindsight to say he had the 2nd last laugh on Motown......His Album "What's Going On" is right up there alongside Pet Sounds and Sgt Pepper as the greatest album of all time.
