Hey Mav, I’m a younger man who’s family just moved from Alaska to Florida. Alaska was my home and I miss it and my friends and family up there more than anything. In a couple years when I move out, you’ve inspired me to get a truck and drive back up, camping along the way. I also plan on hitting up fishing spots all the way up. I just wanted to say thank you Mav, and I love your videos! Keep shredding!

You cook the chicken to your likening and then add some potatoes and broccoli into a pot of chicken broth add salt, black pepper and a pinch of paprika then boil until the potatoes are soft then kill the heat and let it cool down and enjoy. It's simple easy and good I make it every time I go camping

Mav, a really easy roadmeal is a family favorite we call Cinda Surprise. My oldest sister created it at age 13. All we had in the house was 1/2 pound of bacon, instant rice and a can of green beans. You just cut up and cook the bacon and rice, heat everything through with bacon fat for seasoning and enjoy. Cinda went on to become a chef. I still enjoy this regularly although sometimes I jazz it up, add more veg or create it as a fried rice style dish. Hope you're feeling better.

All of your meals look amazing, especially the ones that warm you up in this cold weather. Nothing like a good filling meal to warm up your insides 🥰 if you ever run out of ideas on things to make, I suggest my homemade cheddar broccoli soup 😋 its good and hearty and I think you'd love it ❤ Thanks for all the great videos, keep on truckin Mav 🙌 What you need: Onion Garlic Flour Salt & Pepper Mustard powder/mustard Paprika Half & half Butter Veggie Broth Broccoli Carrots Cheddar Garlic bread/bread bowls In a skillet add 1-2 tbsp butter let melt, dice half an onion (or more depending on how much you like), dice 2 cloves garlic (2 tbsp minced garlic), add onion to melted butter and let cook for a few minutes or until soft, add minced garlic later so it won't burn, continously moving around. Once that becomes fragrant and softened, heat off and set it to the side. In a pot or Dutch oven add about half a stick of butter (enough to cover the bottom of the pan) add flour until it becomes a paste mixture on medium/low heat. Stir until all the flour is gone and butter has soaked up. Should be a paste texture or school glue texture 😊 Next add 2 cups of veggie broth and stir stir stir combining your paste mixture. Next add 2 cups of half & half, salt & pepper, mustard powder (1 tbsp yellow mustard), paprika. Stir stir stir and bring to a simmer. Cut up broccoli (as much as you want) into bite size pieces (think about scooping them up with a spoon when its time to eat) slice carrots (as much as you want, I added carrots for color and more veggies of course) once your simmering add your broccoli, carrots and onions and let it simmer or until your veggies are soft. Continue to stir occasionally because it will thicken up as your veggies cook. Once your veggies are cooked, add your cheese. Grated sharp cheddar or mild cheddar. I suggest bread bowls or garlic bread 😋 Enjoy! Have a wonderful day Your friend Shannon from Illinois ✌

I completely admire what you do. I'm 40 no wife or girlfriend or kids. Was married in the past but I live alone. At the same time I find the best peace at my camper on a 400 acre piece of land that is leased. I went down last weekend and spent the night and I was completely alone. Normally when I go there I'm the only person within a couple miles and like you've said before it is the the most rejuvenation I can find. I normally cook a nice steak or pork chops or chicken on the grill and just put on some music with all the lights out and chill in my rocking chair on the porch of my camper and it really seems to slow my mind down. I hiked about mile back in the woods this past weekend to a amazing rock waterfall and spent a few hours there just reflecting. Many don't get it but when you can get along with yourself for a couple days and talk to yourself about life and everything it comes with it makes a world of difference

Same he was definitely part of the inspiration for me to leave my job last year, pack of my car and start traveling the country with my pup. We’ve been living out of the back of my Hyundai Tucson for a few months now and couldn’t be more appreciative for the experiences we’ve had so far

Love your lil buddy Murray... waving the lighter to the tune. :) I am blessed to be a 12 stepper and to hear men share their vulnerability often. You express yourself in the same honest, real manner. Thank you Mav for giving young men permission to feel fear and push through it. You know the drill...keep on ice fishin!

Say you ought to organize some ice fishing events. You’d be a great fishing guide. Also can you go over safe cold weather dressing and gear. Hypothermia is real and can be insidious if your used to cold weather.
