When we were fishing for rock fish in Ft Bragg CA we didnt even need bait. Just dropped the lines and reeled back up to double fish almost every time. We caught 137 crab that day as well. N two Ling. Great fishing in Ft Bragg. Saw some whales too. Looks like y'all had fun!

The fish at 19:40 is a Sculpin! They are great bait and eating. Found basically everywhere freshwater and saltwater kinds. Missed out! Don’t get finned as toxic and burn but yes can lip bottom feeders

Where I fish on the cook inlet, I drop about 650 feet of anchor line to hit the bottom, then another 150 to hold me in the current, hand hauling that anchor sucks, they were supposed to equip you with a bouy so you can run past it and drag the anchor up to the bouy, makes it alot easier to pull that line across the water rather than off the bottom where it's fighting all that current.
