Pt1&2 visual story novel was included as a pre order bonus for the Japanese release. Good news....it has been translated and included in this western release!!! So no worries if u havnt played or completed 1&2. !!!!

I have the 1st on Vita, the 2nd on Switch, and the 3rd on PS4. 😄 Wish I could play them all on PS4/PS5. Come on Idea Factory, make a collection box set for all 3 major systems.

The 2nd one comes with the first in fact. Theres an epilogue that needs to be played in that version only.

I know it's such a minute detail but I rly wish these types of games let you draw the map like Etrian/Persona Q b/c Idk why but it's my favorite part!!

I don't think it's a minute detail...that's the best part of those games! Sadly I think the series might have died with the DS. The mapping would be pretty cumbersome without that second screen.

Love this series. I even double dipped on both consoles. The collectors edition for Switch and the standard edition for PS4. Both physical copies of course! I can't wait to get the set of novels with the collectors edition!

The first Mary Skelter has one of my favourite video game endings, one of the few times I earned a post-game ending and thought "this was more than worth it." Haven't had the consoles to play 2 yet.

Mart Skelter 2 was for Switch only. Ps4 Finale does it have a summary of past games?

Something that has irked me with the PS4 and PS5 generation, is I'm finding a lot of Japanese RPG/Dungeon Crawlers that look very interesting but are usually like the third or second in a round of sequels, and you can't purchase the originals with the online store, so I'm left conflicted. Do I just give myself potential spoilers to one of the sequels in a game series or just not play it? And I often end up not playing it, because I feel there will be story elements, I'll miss that are integral to understanding the game's storyline.

I played the 1st one on Vita way back. Really great game. Was very disappointing the 2nd one wasn't localized for PS in the west. Find it kind of weird the 3rd one is. Kind of expect then for 2 to come to west to PS after all. Any news on this? And also: is having only played the 1st enough to fully enjoy the story of 3?

Pt.2 is on Switch and its uncensored . Although, it comes as a bundle. Well actually, pt2 just gives you pt1 as a freebie. So its really cool that they did that. I fully reccomend it!!!

Oh , also, pt3 has the entire full story of 1&2 added as a free bonus visual novel. It was a pre-order bonus in japan. But we get free. Basically, its all the scenes from 1&2 complete story

@@redbeardnj yes I read about that! And supposedly it's been done proper enough to be able to follow this 3rd along. So might get it without ever having experienced 2 (sadly). Bummer but I don't own a Switch. Pretty amazing deal 1 and 2 in one package. And apparently an updated version for 1 that fixes some plotholes of the original yes? Sounds interesting.

It somehow took me all the way until the end of the Grave Tower to realise that the blood youths looked more panicked after they lose their first life, Salvation Tower's timed switches are annoying though

Only 1 of them was available, the non-canon one. The True End one is coming as free DLC the day the game officially launches iirc. As for the one included, it was pretty short, like an hour or so but had some nice interactions. Don't expect much from it, it's super brief.

I still wish they put the second one on the PS4. It broke my heart after I got the platinum on the Vita version only to find out the second one wouldn’t release on any PlayStation.

I think this would be too overwhelming as a first dungeon crawler title both story and gameplay wise. There is a recap section that tells you the events of the past 2 games but it'sobviously not the same as experiencing it all firsthand. The switching between parties can be a bit much to grapple with as a first-timer I imagine. The first Mary Skelter would be a more ideal pick I think. Has occasional difficulty spikes but far easier to grasp the mechanics of.

Im not sure to buy it. Im worried about those skills you needs to use outside of battle. If it's too tedious i won't finish it. There are many release anyway, i can ignore mary skelter since i didnt play previous ones.
