Thank you! And don't get me wrong, I still love Frary too. I almost gave up the show actually after Francis died because it wasn't the same without him. It's just these two got stuck in my head ever since I watched the last season and I felt compelled to make this because of the lack of vids regarding their relationship. i finished the show minutes ago and was in dire need of an edit like this to soothe the pain that the ending gave me. Mary and Darnley had an extremely compelling dynamic, lots of chemistry and (in my humble opinion) lots of wasted potential, as the show was cancelled and they had to rush the ending. This is so beautiful and. underrated and i applaud your choice of song (it fits them so well)

I really appreciate the time you took to write me here because I was absolutely distraught after finishing this show a couple years back especially with regards to these two, the absolute potential there if the show hadn't ended with the fourth season (and so much chemistry too!), and I was so saddened by the utter lack of content for them, that I just had to make this hoping I'd find someone who felt the same and here you've just finished the show and get it completely! Seriously, you made my day with your comment because I was afraid this edit wouldn't mean much to anyone since the fandom generally abhors Darnley, and just wow, thank you so so much!! 🥺 I'm glad you like the song choice. I think when this song plays during their wedding, it has to be hands down one of my all time favorite musical moments in a show ever, and probably my favorite moment they play music to in the show itself so I just had to use it. The problem was Darnley was consumed with power and Mary couldn’t allow it she did what she had to do by killing him.

Darnley was a problem for Mary. By the time she arrived back to Scotland, it was already a protestant country and she was a Catholic queen. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Even when Elizabeth 1 prisoned and executed Mary, she ultimately made amends to Mary Beyond her grave of giving the Throne of England to Marys son James.
