Im northern ute and Mexican, born and bred on the rez but grew up in Salt Lake City as well and when classes would gather to watch video tapes on Native American history the entire room would turn toward me and once the teacher told the kids to “dance like the Indians” … myself and my black female classmate stayed sitting down and she looked at me and we’ve stayed friends to this day… I’m 34 today … I feel you Mary. We love you Mary and we love you Robert Jr. thank you both.

Mary is deffensive and can be rude but you can tell she is real, actually went through a lot of traumas. They can see that. I used to think they were scared of her but I feel like its a little of respect too. she’s also one of the main stars of this show, if no the biggest, also has huge popularity.
