If you look at Boo's drawings when she shows Sulley of Randall, you can see the name Mary written in the corner, so her name is Mary, which is the name of her voice actor Mary Gibbs who was around two to three years old at the time of recording (she couldn't sit still for recording her lines so the sound guys followed her with a mike while she was playing, at a later time however, for recoding her song at the bathroom, Pete Docter had her in his lap with a puppet on his arm, making the puppet ask her to sing a song). She's the daughter of Rob Gibbs, an animator and storyboard artist at Pixar and later director of the Mater's Tall Tales shorts Air Mater, Moon Mater and Tokyo Mater. Unfortunatley he passed away in 2020 due to undeclosed complications, at only 55.

During the reel for this one, Mike is actually performing musical numbers from the company play he mentioned during the movie. Billy Crystal, who provided Mike's voice, originally turned down Pixar for a role in the first "Toy Story" film, so in a way this made up for that decision.

I have a fan theory about the origins of the company. I think when they were starting out, it was with laughter. Waternoose was young back then and didn't know how to be funny. One night, when he was failing as usual, he got frustrated and screamed. This frightened the kid and filled up the energy tank without him realizing it. He left the closet and claimed that the child almost killed him by touching him. Ever since then, the company switched to scream energy and were deathly afraid of children. Only Waternoose knew the truth, but he'd never tell for the shame of failure. Anyway, I'd watch the heck out of that movie.
