Dude I dont get why we need to go through all that process, for me as soon as turn the sample in a audio module it gives me the right BPM.. Is there something I dont get ?
@BlezzBeats5 жыл бұрын
It's so you don't have to rely on software doing it for you, this way you can use any sampler sequencer and be all good relying on your skill. Plus it's generally not gonna line up right if you just throw something in there unless you're using a loops from a library that are already nicely trimmed.

Easily one of my favorite Maschine tutorials. Can you chop up your sample after you time stretch it this way?
@BlezzBeats5 жыл бұрын
You'd have to resample it internally and repeat the process to do that! But you can, yes 🚀
@Iredidv5 жыл бұрын
Dont use the tap function. Take a piece of your song and go to the audio editor > slicing. trim the loop perfectly (so it's 1 or 2 or 4 bars) your bpm wil be right 2 decimals after the comma. try it, you'll be surprised works super fast and is super accurate.
@BlezzBeats5 жыл бұрын
Good tip! Learning how to do it by ear first is beneficial because you wont have to rely on it if you need to translate to other machines. The tap function is to get a rough estimate and then you lock the loop dead on by ear.

Do you mean that they have separate BPMs or that you speed up/slow down the whole thing and the audio follows?
@stephenbridge68385 жыл бұрын
@@BlezzBeats I mean they have separate bpms.... for example I'll set my drums @ 120bpms set on maschine......bring the sample in at 70bpms and it play in sync
@BlezzBeats5 жыл бұрын
@@stephenbridge6838 Ok so if you use the audiomodule it will automatically stretch everything to the bpm you've set. If your sample is one sound (not chopped up) all you need to do is hold shift and press browse and switch from Sampler to Audio. Enter the bpm of your sample, and set the length of the pattern. If its a sample you chopped up the easiest way to do it is to first resample your chopped sample and then repeat the process above.

Maybe totally off topic, but since you are from Sweden, don't you use or have used reason from propellerheads, since they are also a Swedish Co? Or what other daw's do you use besides maschine (I also use maschine 75% of my music making time, just because it's fast, intuitive and love how the nks format works with the browser.) besides that I sometimes use reason, ableton and have recently gotten reaper and love it as a 'classic' (linear) daw. Anyhow love your vids, keep em coming for the purples and be DANGERUS ;)
@BlezzBeats5 жыл бұрын
Off topic is always on topic once you go there! I used Reason alot during version 2-2.5. Back then I had the Ensoniq EPS 16 plus and I got bored of the sequencing from time to time. It's come a long way since then tho 🚀 Now I use Logic Pro X for tracking vocals and when I'm doing more non-linear stuff. Reason is amazing but I tend to work way faster editing on the Maschine.

u just saying "time stretch" made more sense to me lol...so basically time stretching is either trying to make the sample faster or slower
@BlezzBeats5 жыл бұрын
Lol exactly! Pitching a sample up or down will change the speed as well. Lower pitch = wider soundwaves = more time and vice versa. So its either than when you're matching a sample with your tempo, timestretching, or chopping it up into notes and filling the gaps. Thats pretty much it when you're aligning samples in space n time.
