Quick and easy to understand tutorial! Subbed :P And guess what??? After years of thinking about getting this, i FINALLY ordered it..! Aw man... Now i can actually start *using* my K11U plugins, instead of always going to my Electribe2 for a good workflow... Definitely not getting rid of the E2 though, as it has some pretty nice functionality that Maschine can take advantage of. Like: * 55 different synth waveforms to choose from, which can all be modified with the "edit" knob, which basically means that you have a *lot* more than 55 different waveforms to choose from. * 24 voice polyphony. * 16 tracks - each with their own modulation (LFO + motion record - as well as motion sequencing by taking advantage of the "step jump" function), insert effect, filter, envelope, groves, and 4 bar sequencer. Combine all this with a fast and intuitive workflow, and you get a pretty serious tool for sample creation 👍

Hi, My question is : In order to build a track I have a pad of 16 bars and I want the kick starting @ 8 bars, how can I edit a pattern starting @ 8 bars without having to create kicks all the way to 16 and then delete those ? (cause you cant move a pattern over a scene )

It's in the manual. Just page through your bars in step mode. Or free record and start playing them in where you want. Just start of with a 16 bar drum pattern.

What do you suggest? Maschine MK3 or Ableton Push2.
@Noisegate
@Noisegate 5 жыл бұрын
That is a very good question. Both have great features and it all comes down to what you want to achieve and what you currently have in your set up right now. We love both units, if you intend to use Ableton Live software then the Push 2 is the go, if not then the Maschine MK3 may be the answer.

I have had a maschine mk3 for a year now and I absolutely love it! It has been a game changer to my own production. I personally hated the Ableton Push

I've only dabbled with Ableton, but have use Maschine since the day they launched it to the general public. It's a powerful and simple workflow. They originally intended it to be used in conjunction with your existing DAW (which you can still do) but it's to the point that you can use it all by itself for a lot of genres of music. I have a feeling that the Push will be a better match if you are using Ableton. Otherwise, I used to use Sonar, then Cubase and now StudioOne. Maschine has performed great with all three of them. It's worth checking out. I'm pretty sure NI allows you to demo the software which would be a good place to start seeing if you like what you see.

how can i step sequence along a 8 or 16 bar pattern?? because when I do it, it only goes 4 bars
@Noisegate
@Noisegate 6 жыл бұрын
Press the PATTERN button and use the encoder to increase the pattern length to 8 bars, then press the FOLLOW button which is located in the transport section above the SHIFT button. This will ensure the play marker will follow the pattern throughout out the full 8 bars. However the easiest way of step sequencing longer patterns is to start with 1 bar and use the DUPLICATE button to duplicate the pattern to as many bars as you require.

How do you nudge in small increment I know hitting shift and nudge move the note in large increment.
@dincerekin
@dincerekin 6 жыл бұрын
in the events screen select the events you want to move then use the right arrow button to go to the 2nd menu and then use the first knob (position) and hold the shift button for a fine increment

@SuperHotPeter
@SuperHotPeter 6 жыл бұрын
it is a 16 note grid by default so each pad represents 1/16th note, basically when you hit shift and grid you are able to change how many notes are in the grid
