Ok so this is what I keep running into. I know how to create the clip and route the other channels to it and create the automation. But How do I make it so that the automation is only for one scene. It seems like I have to keep all of the instruments routed to "MASTER" in order to keep the effect

That's correct. That is where clips come into play. You can use this to place the automation over one scene only or you can achieve a similar thing by duplicating the group and having the effect group separate from the original audio. You would just automate the new pattern in within that scene.

So this clip trick would work with single tracks as well. Say put a filter effect on say one of your pad instruments. Put a filter on it add a clip and use automation correct?

Hi guy, I have been following your tutorial carefully but as others have pointed out, I have noticed that this method has a drawback: after and before the automation clip the low pass filter is and remains active (without automation of course) compromising all direct sound on the effect group. How to overcome this problem? Did I do something wrong?

thx for this tip. I have two problems one is I cant make clip on top of other click by double click and the other problem is that Maschine makes randomly clips to that automation track. Can´t make just one long clip. Thx.

Make sure you are in the song arrange window. Also use the "C" key to toggle between clips on/off. For you second issue, Maschine Is touch sensitive if you are writing automation and you lift your fingers from the knobs it will create new clip. Keep your touch and on the knob as long as your are adjusting that parameter, that way it will be one long clip

So don't want erase track or pattern but erase example last bar on particular pattern and example kick nothing more. I know I can use mouse. But I know I can make that using mk3 hw. You have to create the clip first ( by selecting the duration you want ) then you place yourself at the begining of that clip , then you press play and play with da knob. It will not create random clips with the annoying cracks between each one of them...

This is dope! One suggestion is to to use/name this as a bus method instead of the master. Then route the bus into your master. That way you select only the tracks you want to apply the effect to and you could possibly have more than one bus tracks for other automations. I haven’t done this in Maschine myself so idk if there are factors I’m not considering

Absolutely ! Remember the automation is done inside the clip. You will have to create a new clip, or program the effect to cut off at a certain point.

Is there a way to make a straight Line from the beginning to the end of a scene instead of modifing every single point with the knob or the mouse?

From what i tried, i was able to create a clip the length of the scene. Change the grid to bar. When you click in the first point you are able to adjust for the duration of the scene, that way it eliminates the need to edit multiple points. The controller is touch sensitive so if you touch and hold it steady it should be a straight line.

That was stated around a year and a half ago, & I really only want 2 things added, 1 as you mentioned with the automation & being able to copy and paste more than 1 scene at a time. Ensure that automation is turned on on your mikro mk3. Check the knob sensitivity in setting. I Use Maschine Studio and i use a combination of Shift + Auto to enable mine. It might be a slight variation with different controllers.

Yes, no problem. In order for Maschine to record you have to grab the outer portion of the knob. This can also be done using the controller. For me, I use the Maschine Studio so I would hit "SHIFT Auto" to enable automation. This she controllers should work the same on other Maschine Controllers as wells. Hope this helps !

Is it possible to trackout the stems with the fx included? Sometimes i used the half time effect but i gotta do an automation clip for each individual sound because it gets removed if i apply it to the group or master channel.

Yes, Maschine will bounce the fx if it is turned on. (hi-lighted). Keep in mind that Maschine has ability to bounce by different levels Sound | Group | Master. If you apply half time to the Group and export by the sound level the effect will not be heard. You will need to export at the group level.
