Wow, when you described how you cloister yourself off to work on yourself ... reminded me of this kind of detachment that can happen in those situations. I've had to work on it, untangling the knot mentally so that I can make sure my being blindsided doesn't have me miss a step. It really was just a practice of recognizing a need for a moment of personal calm for myself so I can regather my bearings. Otherwise it would be like the social mask shut down and emergency backup kicks in... "what's the next step? what is the pattern? how am I feeling? what needs to happen now? can everything work as good as it needs to? ok let's execute." No discussions with people other than strict protocol. But otherwise I am very attentive to the others and quite deferential. It doesn't matter much to me until it absolutely has to... such a bad habit.

hmm, i feel like i’m pretty chill with both the tribe and myself - at least when it comes to pushing actively. but i suppose i am better at pushing other people to achieve things than i am at pushing myself, even if i have Te demon. i guess this dynamic looks different depending on which order your deciders come in (mine are Fi saviour and Te demon, so i guess that even if i do have masculine Te, it looks a lot more ”chill” than masculine Te as a saviour).

I'm totally thrown off on looking at myself with this stuff, because of way too many years being pushed/pushing myself to be someone that I'm not - basically someone the (small, exclusive) tribe can tell who to be in all ways - am I now at 34 learning to not be pushed (Fi) because I'm M-Fi or am I finally just growing a backbone in general and working on my inherent flaws? I'm way too meta about all of it, I can see myself in any way I can convince myself at any given moment. Need to locate some trustworthy friends who are willing to help me type myself I guess. Since if they are about being pushed around then if you have it dominant you will be influenced by the demon more and that is what the demon shouldn't be doing from it's position .

I think that the feminine internal decider, like I have (ENTJ Te/Se), will not push on itself without the consent of the tribe (masculine De). For me, I'll go ask people if it's normal how I feel about stuff and if I should act upon it. Even though deep down I know it's best for me to act upon it, I still need that approval from the outside world. For a feminine external decider, I'm not sure but I think it's trusting that the tribe will decide what's good for themselves. For example, someone with masculine Ti, therefore feminine Fe, would list a bunch of reasons why something is not good, then tell the tribe to draw their own conclusions, even though sometimes there's only one conclusion possible.

MM Ne/Fi here, so my Savior Fi is feminine. I find that a lot of the time, Fi is this very _almost_ insecure part of myself, something that I push out hesitantly in interactions and try to find agreement with. If someone says or does something that causes a twinge to my Fi, once I’m pushed, I CAN push back with my Fi in a Savior state. HOWEVER! That’s only in situations where, say, I see someone mistreating someone else so my Fi gets angry on their behalf, steps in, and then afterwards self-analyzes to try and confirm that what I did was right and see how I can be better in the future, etc. In the case that my Fi gets stepped on, insulted, or guilted- usually unintentionally- my masculine Te comes OUT. And it is usually angry. It bursts out to try and defend the Fi that’s been tampered with, and I shower both myself and the other party with logic that comes out as aggressive and pushy. It’s crazy because when I look back, I notice that the Te isn’t really helping the situation at all, since I usually don’t feel any better until I stabilize my Fi again. There are other cases when my feminine Fi will feel so insecure or uncertain that it will wilt and leave me lost to my Te. It happens sometimes when I realize the tribe doesn’t like something I like, or when I realize that a moral value I have conflicts a value of those around me, or when I’m genuinely undecided about how to view something and get so turned around that my Fi is clueless. When Te takes over at times like that, it is NEEDY for validation. Instead of lashing out, it’ll just shatter my self-esteem. I realized lately that at times like those, I often subconsciously try to sneak my Fi insecurity into conversations with other people as jokes in hopes that they’ll be nice and correct me, then voice support my Fi values so that I can feel better again. (And since people can’t read minds, they usually laugh at the seemingly harmless joke and put my Fi down further, which is totally my fault. I need to stop doing that.) For example: Say I have a pair of shoes my mom got me years back, and I’ve taken to them so much that I wear them every day. One day, it comes to my attention that this pair of shoes is, by fashion standards, HIGHLY outdated and out of style. (This didn’t happen, but stuff like it has, and it honestly would again since I pay no attention to trends, haha.) Immediately, there’s a piercing rush of insecurity- the shoes that I Fi love and appreciate are actually looked down upon. I try to laugh it off to myself and continue going about my day. About half an hour later, I see a friend, and we start chatting. Because the shoes are still in the back of my mind, and because they’re still causing humiliation to build up in my stomach, I integrate the topic into conversation via a mildly self-deprecating joke that seems to come out of nowhere. E.g.- “Yeah, the child crying during the office meeting looked almost as out-of-place as these sketchers I’ve been wearing for five years.” -What am I subconsciously expecting? Validation! Some part of me wants my friend to go, “Aw no, your shoes are fine!” I fished for a compliment without even realizing it because I wanted my Fi to feel all better! But guess what? Of course from the way I phrased that, NO ONE would know I spent the last half hour painfully embarrassed about my shoes. So my friend laughs really hard at my joke, which makes me feel infinitely worse. While they’re still laughing (and I’m fake-laughing outwardly to cover the fact I’m wounded) angry Te comes up in my head immediately, thinking furious thoughts like, _Well if you knew my shoes were ugly, why didn’t you tell me? Did you want me to be humiliated?_ or _YOU’RE the one who originally thought that socks and sandals were fun to wear, so you have no right to judge me!_ And it’s all incredibly toxic and unnecessary, especially because I’m not verbally communicating any of it. I’m tryna work on that part of myself. So, yeah. Feminine Fi, rarely standing up for itself and routinely getting itself hurt and then doing it again minutes later

But his descriptions of mental processes are very well expressed, hence everyone's willingness to follow him. I personally believe he's got great communication, but terrible arguments. So everything he gets right => Awesome, original point of view ... But ... sometimes he just doesn't give you anything to measure weather he's right or wrong. Only confident statements, and you take it on yourself whether to believe him or not based on how accurate you found him on the spot.

Briefly looked up Greg Plitt and immediately hear a quote from him, "Nobody can help you, you've gotta help yourself-" which is funny since that is exactly the same thing I've been thinking repeatedly for a while now. Seems to me a very masculine trait, since usually it's women who tend to be more co-dependent rather than independent. Also it seems to me that the red side could be easily manipulated. So yeah, I'm talking down to the red side but maybe it's because I don't really see much good about it other than maybe some occasional scenarios.

I have the same natural reaction to the red side. It helped me to learn that being too far on the blue side means nobody around me will actually be helped. The truth is other people need to be pushed sometimes to get going, and if I’m unwilling to do that (my M-Fi) then nothing good will happen for anybody involved.

Just some feedback from the tribe: I LOVE the addition of this aspect to functions. It's revolutionary. Is there any way we could come up with different terms to use rather than masculine/feminine. The gendering feels unnecessary and distracting since the aspect has nothing to do with gender and more to do with how an energy moves.

Possibly we could use the terms of Assertive for masculine and Turbulent for feminine. I’m aware that 16personalities does this but for a completely different reason 🙄 but in this context I think it works better when defining masculine/feminine functions and could be more self-explanatory

@@claudialuvsu21 yeah good point. i would for sure like to have terms that are more self-explanatory. i think this is also the issue i have with gendering functions in this way because these stereotypical "natures" of genders are rooted in extremely unproductive & outdated concepts of gender expression that really has nothing to do with describing the way energy is being expressed in the functions. I think it would be nice to tie it back to the movement itself which would also make it easier to understand at the same time.

Einsame M M De/F Di, M Di/F De are dimensions that act completely separately not only from their Savior and Demon assignments, but also from whether they are F or T. That is, they don’t operate differently regardless of Savior or Demon, F or T. M De is very obvious, generally pushy (with occasional emotional collapse when pushed too far). Their pushiness is frequently expressed, “This is the way it is” or “You need to do this.” It has a bulldozing, directing-other-people quality. F De is also obvious, soft and flowy and accommodating, generally using language and tone to smooth out tensions in interactions (with occasional “Ok, I’ve had enough of this!” when pushed too far. I find M Di and F Di harder to identify, except as the implicit pair to the more obvious expression of M De or F De in the person’s personality.

I second that, their theories helped me a lot, their typing is just so wrong most of the times for those "famous" yet "remote" people, peterson is an Ni-Dom, probably intj with all the chaos talk, and detachment, I had people in the comments describing him like exactly an intj while they have no clue about mbti or jung; with the narrowing down, emotional detachment from what has to be addressed objectively, the man is Te-Fi like crazy when it comes to emotions, chaos control, over simplified statements or punch lines etc etc, gary v is an entj like duh, he's a copy cat of a friend of mine. it's been months now that I take their theories with heart but totally dismiss their typing, Eminem is an istp maaaaaann! not an infj come on. i have no clue what M or F is all about the last I take with heart is the EJ EP IJ IP dichotomies. and that's it. and i trust my intuition about what i said to the level of schizoid like maniac. it's been 5 years into that shit seeing things all over interconnected while almost doing nothing else.

This is fascinating...so are self pushers more intelligent? Or that depends? I think a fascinating aspect would be the balance question? When is a person out of balance? In that case you would be in the realm of abnormal psychology. Development is necessary but is there over-development? A mother feeds a child up to a point then the child takes over its own self care...and so on. So in every journey one needs a mother but then is weaned from the mother...but if all the child knows is how to eat without any other thought then this becomes a problem unless he becomes a farmer, chef, then it both feeds itself and others. Modern society breeds people to depend on others for food and many essential things so most people you could say are underdeveloped in the sense that we are not wholly independent. But I guess thats just the way its going to be since we are limited on time and capacity. So with this analogy I could see why there are both of these functions. Thank you.

I can see the conflict and the misidentification. I concur with OP with JP. FM Ne/Ti CPS/B. The exacting nature and precision of his language, particularly communicating the abstract to the concrete accurately and as "simply" as possible. His confidence in the exact phraseology he utilizes in the past also leans more towards the masculine side from my perspective. I believe that I have a similar (novice and developing) type as JP. I was completely floored when he described how he organizes information in an ongoing narrative/theory(Masculine Ne video). I call them my foundational pillars. I believe that this is the dominate FEMININE Ne (Batman if you will) tag teamed auxiliary MASCULINE Ti (Robin...). The process of Ti is doing the brunt of the work and the Ne mental models are less resource dependent and über convenient. I'd love to hear any feedback or thoughts on this matter. 🙏🏽

Idk how many people are typing apart from you two. In case it's just two of you, theres is literally nothing objective about that. Your theory is good but still vague enough that a group of people will have different interpretations of what a particular functions means and what it manifests itself as. Also youtube isn't peer reviewed so it also lacks that, that's not to say peer review is fool proof and always has good judgement but something that's quite certain is that youtube is NOT the most scientific place to establish objectivity i'll tell you that. In my opinion you saviour vs demon theory is gold, the balanced function in the middle is gold and a preference between your middle functions that can interchange is paradigm changing but your talk about Tribe and self isn't cutting it and it's half the story.
