I remember seeing this MTV special. This is when rap had reached the peak of popularity in the 90's. You got Wyclef, Nas, Rza, and Mase, all with their own unique individual styles. I wish we could get back to this.

Eminem is a good MC but sold a lot of records because a lot of none Hip Hop fans bought his work. ''Eminem bigger in Hip Hop than RZA'' ?! ...I think not, Hip Hop is the culture not the pop charts. RZA has produced about 15 genuine Hip Hop albums and master minded the movement we know today as Wu Tang.
@BlackFaithProduction3 жыл бұрын
WTF are you talking about? Lol. Eminem is way more important to hip hop than RZA. People only agree with you cuz this is under a RZA video.
@cidanarch2 жыл бұрын
@@BlackFaithProduction You know nothing about hip hop Eminem is a legend but he has only inspired white boys who want to be like him. I barely hear ay unique MCs with a major eminem influence. RZA has multiple era defining classics under his belt both solo albums and group efforts alike. And he isnt even a favourite producer of mine im just not ignorant

I miss the '90s too much when I see old MTV shows about music. Mase is actually a smart guy despite his lackadaisical demeanor. He is not a man of The Lord like he claimed to be 15 years ago, but he put out some good records with Puffy. Nas and RZA are deeper than any rapped today also. WTF happened to the music industry?

If I remember correctly this is the interview where they are asked about their perception of white rappers and Nas tells about a white MC that Dre is working with that is dope as hell. Few years later Eminem takes hip hop by storm and becomes the highest selling MC in the history of hip hop.

@JAMILHOSTILE Nah...you got it backwards. Rza has gone thru so many phases throughout his career is all. He told the WHOLE clan back in '93 that he was gonna have them ON TOP by '97 then they had to hold their own while he pursued other aspects of entertainment. Rza is peace & Blessings to his fans all day. You just ain't n the same page as he is...You don't understand him is all brother. Not like others do anyways...peace
