Really awesome car. I have one and the spark plugs, bought online, the best price in the country, was $100 for 8 spark plugs. I put them in myself, not very difficult. Probably saved about $300 by doing it myself. I do my own oil changes as well, all it is is filter and oil, cost about $100 for those. Otherwise shop would charge $300 for an oil change. If you can do things yourself, it doesn't have to break your bank.

exactly, but the clutches cost 4k to replace and they last 12k miles aparently.
@alexl9986 Жыл бұрын
@@shimmywow3613 man, who told you about 12k miles? I am on the same clutch 50K miles. Know people who got 80K on the clutch and still driving. Don't be another rumours maker.
@javierhowe36659 ай бұрын
Shimmy wow it really fucking depends on who’s driving and how you drive that will determine the life line of your clutch and the car too of course haha

I have a gransport which is essentially the same thing. Service is quite expensive, i broke a rim and it was $3200 to replace. And clutch goes out fairly quickly. Also upgraded parts are expensive as well. An exhaust system will run you 3,000+. Don't expect to buy any performance part for less than $1500. I recently got the Novitec Turbo kit and i'm calling it quits on the upgrades. It was super pricey (38,000) but it does push nearly 600hp haha. hope that helps

If I'm not mistaken, the Coupe GT has an option for a full manual gearbox. From what I've heard about the F1 paddles, I'd sooner stick with a traditional manual gearbox and not have to worry about the clutch needing to be replaced every 20,000km.

The "Coupe GT" IS the manual. Otherwise it's called a Cambiocorsa.

best kept secret in the car world. if you do your research, you will see that the car was developed by Michael Schumacher and Luca de montesemelo head of Ferrari. this should be sufficient to make this car a classic and the only real Maserati-Ferrari out there. get hold of the 4200 before people find out how fantastic this motor car is.

i bought a 2002 maserati coupe gt 6 speeds manual with 29k miles for $17,000 and the car was in good condition. But i sold it for $19,300 two week later, i cried everyday after that because i regret, should have keep it.

hello guys, i am thinking of getting this car soon, how hard is it to work on these cars. compared to a bmw or a mercedes. is it a solid car, or does it break down a lot. please let me know.

my customer brought it in for smog inspection and he told me that the bank will go after his asset because his house has been reprocessed because he didn't pay the mortgage and they will take his car too. So he needs to sell it fast and i got the cash ready.

it is a ferrari built V8, the maseratis made in early 2000s are hand built by Ferrari. It's like a "poor" man's Ferrari.

Why do these 2000s Maserati so cheap it about $19500. That cheaper than a Dodge Viper and a Corvette at 50k dollar.
@Foxtechconsultants7 жыл бұрын
Tay TYLERIENMAM Station lol, don't forget these are made by a boutique auto maker. Clutch changes every 10-15k miles required, $2k job usually a lot more, it's $6k on the Quattroporte's. Oil changes are $250 minimum. Maintenance is intense on these if you want it done right otherwise you'll fuck up the car quickly.
@Happytylermovieproducction7 жыл бұрын
Crank Turner what if you can do service by yourself like oil changing
@Foxtechconsultants7 жыл бұрын
I was looking into the very same thing with the 04-08 Quattroporte's with the 4.2L. I can't imagine it's much different from an AMG or a Range Rover Sport in terms of difficulty/requirements. But I always rely on forums and occasionally youtube to help me through a lot of the DIY stuff, but I'm not finding much on servicing either car as a DIY :(
@Foxtechconsultants7 жыл бұрын
But you're right, that would save boatloads of money if there are how-to guides online somewhere like on maseratilife forums and etc. Then the car really would be cheap! haha
