Farmer John was a fixture here in the L. A. area. They produced "Dodger" hot dogs for years, but the plant closed recently. I believe they are owned by the Smithfield company. I also wondered why the sausage links you showed during the Farmer John segment were not Farmer John sausages. Most of the shots showed links in casings.

Swaggerty's hot rules this house. I buy 30 pack patties, cook the whole box on the Lodge griddle - grill side for drainage, tear off little square pieces of aluminum foil to individually wrap, bag them and freeze for later easy use. The 24 pack can be found around here in multiple stores, but for some strange reason, Ingles is the only one carrying the 30 pack for the same price that others sell the 24 pack. Plus, Ingles has their frozen sausage in rolls, not biscuits - the biscuit sucks, while the rolls are good.

You can find Legg's seasoning in butcher shops and some country stores where locals butcher pigs. I do not work the seasoning into the meat because the Legg's package says it will season 25 pounds of pork. I just sprinkle it on top of the meat patty.

In this video she is talking about rating breakfast sausages and some of them I am familiar with others I haven't even heard of them, and one thing is very apparent to the supermarkets that I go to is that if a particular brand doesn't sell, the ordering manager won't order them again and they will mark it down dramatically, to make room for products that sell and are popular with their customers, breakfast sausages is one thing, what about hotdogs, same rules, now let's come to different types of sausages, whether they are made of grounded pork, beef, chicken, veal, vegetables, or soybean based, and how's about the flavors and the types of casing used to produce these not so cheap items, like eating MEXICAN style CHORIZO, and I don't like them, because when cooked they have no flavor, very bland, and render to much fat, and usually I don't buy your typical types like ITALIAN SAUSAGES, it's the same thing, try something very different, to educate your palate, as I do, constantly.

They're quick to cook in the microwave (just 1 1/2 minutes in my daughter's dorm room microwave, now in my kitchen), and have a better flavor than the Banquet brown & serve sausages (although I rather like the Banquet turkey breakfast sausage links). I would never eat Jenny-O or Banquet. If you have ever been to a processing plant you would be shocked at the production line, I have seen it with pork and poultry. I bet the workers do not eat the products they make. You can find the greasy Swaggerty's at every Walmart.
