Amazing how you stretch the capabilities of Luminar 4.2. I opine a good imaginative, and explorative mind is wonderful asset, and that you show what can be achieved is generous. Thanks for sharing.

Excellent video! I didn't know you could add different types of masks to the base image without having to create layers for each. If you haven't already touched on it, how to use the Luminosity mask would be great. Thanks again.

I have a bunch of pictures from a cloudy white gray skies on Kite Day down by the Washington Monument in Washington DC. So, I am replacing the gray skies with blue skies. However, the kites in the sky have white areas and there are flags on tall poles stuck in the ground with white stripes. So, the sky replacement tool doesn't recognize white areas. It paints skies over them. I have no idea how to do neat erases from such small and irregular objects (plus the wind bends them). The only solution I know is to call Luminar as a filter and use the subject masking tool in Photoshop (with the add option) to select the flags and kites and then select the inverse. Is there another approach?

I have a image of man with 1-2 days white beard ( very small hair) and I want to change color from white to black without affecting skin. Is there a way to achieve this in Luminar?

something I found by accident, if you add an image layer and use the gradient mask to blend it, you have to create a stamped layer before you can add another image layer...the first time I tried, it created a ghost second image as a clone almost to the first, just over the intersection of the blended layers. Once I stamped the first two, the third image worked properly....
@aaronrobinson26894 жыл бұрын
Hi Gary, thank you for this video! Is it possible in luminar to blend Bracketed images... rather than use HDR software, blending is classed as a better way to process an image.. it’s possible via photoshop however it’s so complicated.. can this be done via luminar
@GaryMcIntyrePhotographer4 жыл бұрын
Hi Aaron, glad you enjoyed it and thanks for watching, it was a long one. I would personally recommend merging them in Aurora HDR to be honest, if you are using skylum software. You can create an action in photoshop which will ease the process 😁👍👍

I add an image layer and want to transform that layer, so I set the Opacity to 50%, but when I select the Transform tool, it goes to full opacity, so I can't see the image below. I can still transform the layer fine but I can't see what is under it, and once I am done with the transform it goes back to 50%. Am I doing something wrong? I tried it just like in the tutorial video. Thanks.
