Mass Destruction, Meal Prep & Movie Posters! Also Closet & Fridge Clean Out & So Much More!

Hey party people! Thanks so much for hanging out with me today while I share with you this new around the house happenings! I do some cleaning, some cooking, some meal prep, hang up some movie posters,I clean the fridge and the destruction in the play room after the holidays and a birthday party weekend.. wooh. another one this weekend. why. Last weekend was impromptu and this weekend was planned. I am drowning. next weekend is Wentworth's birthday party, thankfully most of that will be outdoors and not a sleepover! ... lets take bets on whether or not it will turn into a sleepover. haha I bet it will. How much money are we betting? because I win. You owe me $100. Cool now that that's settled I have a busy upcoming week shopping for Christmas gifts and getting all the kids' school things in order before the holiday break! ... I need help. Also thanks for being there for me. Okay blog post is over.

Raiders is an absolute classic. I guess it's an older movie but I highly recommend you watch it. The second in the series would be great to watch with your kids. It's about as edge of your seat as Goonies; another favorite of mine. Wolfgang is adorable. God bless him.

She can have rules for visitors as well as her kids, when you finish playing with toys, put them away. That does work when you explain it to kids. Different homes have different rules and kids adjust to those rules per home. My son's visitors did whether they were family or friends.

I just don’t get how it’s always a hot topic. No my garland isn’t ripped down there is a piece I didn’t hang. I’m not a strict parent who makes their kids play with one toy at a time and place it back before getting another. Have we met? Lol I also don’t hover over them as they play. I have kids of varying ages so it gets wild and crazy, that’s fine. There are always so many kids here- they have fun- they clean up. Sometimes I clean up. Im the host and a mother- I’m okay with that.

My husband almost fell out of his chair when he heard you say you didn’t know anything about Raiders of the Lost Ark! One of his favorites. I remember seeing that movie for the first time in my 20’s and walking out of the theater thinking it was one of the best movies I’d ever seen! Watch it with the older kids - they’ll love it!!

Drives me crazy that you have to explain why you clean the kids play room. Of course they help! This channel is your channel, not the kids channel. They have chores and they chip in when needed. People need to stop judging. I love that the playroom is out of sight for the most part and the kids feel comfortable to be silly and make a mess. I had a friend whose mom was very strict and no one ever played at her house, it was not fun at all. I’d rather have the home where kids feel free to have fun. (Stepping off the soapbox now). The food pantry I donate to suggests products that food stamps won't buy. I get toilet paper, feminine supplies, diapers, soaps, detergents, etc. They also take gently used clothing. I cleaned out my sock drawer and they were thrilled to take that. I guess we just need to think before we get rid of items and donate things from our cupboard before they expire.

As a child at our home, if we had friends over and things were every where accept where they were supposed to be, they had to help us put things back where they belonged. My son's had to follow that same rule in my home. They would tell their friends the rule.🙂 Even knowing they had to help clean up, there were kids always at my house even into their teen years. Oh Kim you are amazing, see I'm that person who would have checked the room before they left. Followed up with telling the parents "we've got some cleaning to do "

My 3 are all adults and so far only yielded me one grandson Levii who is now 8yo so I’m craving more grand babies!! My daughter is saying in the next 5yrs so a while to wait for her & Levii has not got any siblings yet. My daughter has sadly had 2 miss-carriages, one was twins! So heartbreaking 😢 she went for a scan & they told her NOTHING!! Just stopped the scab. Got home & they called her & told her she was having twins but they had died, NO compassion, it was disgusting!! 😢 My daughter isn’t a fan of small babies & still lives with me so she jokes she is going to have them, leave them with me for the first couple of years & go back to work. Idea: when kids have sleepovers create a “game board rental agreement” on a spreadsheet and have the kids sign their name next to the board games they take out. So they know they’re responsible for cleanup. Or if they want another game then they have to return the one they were already playing with.

Wow! That was what I call a frat party mess! My kids were spaced so far apart. My last is a 16 year old son. When he was middle school age, his two sisters were adults. His friends would come over and our house was a huge mess afterwards. He has the entire upstairs floor as his private living space. He has just now started caring how clean it is. I would be so mad at my kids for making that huge mess and not helping clean it up. I am so happy that my three are past that stage. You are a power house!
