Every time I see this "Cryptic Remains" - It does my head in! Bought "From Beyond" on vinyl back in '91 - With the bonus 7" and saw Massacre touring it in Dublin in September of that year. "Cryptic Realms" has always been my favourite Massacre song. 🤘

Most of the songs on Leprosy were written by Sculdiner and Rozz together so he's allowed to recycle some of his own riffs. Not that I'm sure who wrote which riff of course. 2:25 is also similar to a riff from Open Casket.

I loved the first 2 DEATH albums, and then became a MASSACRE fan full time. I never cared for Chuck Schuldiner, the controlling egomaniac that he was, or the dorky, nerdy, techy progressive direction he went in after Leprosy. Still trying to be super melodic, complex, philosophical with the same vomit inducing vocal strain ideal for death metal. It's not for everybody. He had too big of a head to be in a band with anybody for very long. I'm very glad Rick, Terry, and Bill continued on in death metal, and brought us this gem.
