Always good to see how things are done. Always considered the job was a success if I I don't have extra parts and my knuckles aren't bleeding.

The nut is a disposable type, you did well applying threads glue when using the old nut again.

Another great video yet again. Would you be able to do a tractor look around series such as start the back and do the spools and talk about the double acting and when you use it what float means and what the taps do on the spools and the specs on different tractors like open centre and closed centre hydraulics . Then do the pto like 1000/540 shaft and when you use each and the pros and cons of each.then work your way round the engine and what everything in it does under the bonnet, then do the axel brakes clutch etc

Anyone know if the 1200/1250s were sold in the USA or were the 4000 series 4WD’s the only articulated ones in the USA

Hi, great vid. Could you tell me where you got the seals from as I’m looking for some for my 1200. Thanks
@CowfarmerDan4 жыл бұрын
The small cork seal is a genuine MF part, the oil seal is just a standard seal from a seal supplier. MF wanted £70 for it. The cork one was about £4

@@CowfarmerDan thanks for the quick response. Would you have the dimensions and the number of the company you got the seal from please
@CowfarmerDan4 жыл бұрын
I just took the seal to the supplier and they measured it

Great video Dan I came across it While looking up the Massey Ferguson 1200 I bought one that had the rear axle all apart in boxes and on pallets I have everything back together its is missing the pto housing that carries the oil sell and on the left side of the rear transmission there is a cover that the pto leaver to shift the pto in and out of gear on this cover there are three places for tubes to context I can not see where the small one contexts to I would really appreciate the help if you have the time to explain or send a picture of how it should be thank you very much Dan or if anyone can answer my questions thanks again

As far as I can remember the small pipes go to the front half of the tractor to provide oil pressure to operate the diff locks. I'll check later, but cant send photos on here.

The 1200 were a bad design, they had a rubbish pto,the engine was underpowered for the size of the tractor,the gearbox was not designed for the traction power the tractor had
