Someone who loves plays too!! So rare for me to find on booktube. Antony and Cleopatra is perfection. I love a raisin in the sun. Oedipus is good and I love metamorphosis too 😊 I kissed shara wheeler is my favourite Casey mcquiston so far. I really like monstress although a heads up vol 1 is a bit confusing.

Little Rot is SO GOOD, definitely very heavy so I would recommend looking up trigger warnings, but it was wild and dark and I couldn't put it down. I think it's pretty different from what Akwaeke Emezi's done before, kinda just one of those books that's like "hey, what if this happened, wouldn't that be so messed up?" and makes you sit with it

Hey, I just came across your channel for the first time. I am a Philly native and would love recommendations for local bookstores and thrift stores. Book shopping can get expensive 😂 but, I also love giving “old” books a new home. So I would REALLY appreciate some recs ! Sincerely a new subscriber 😉

I loved the Prospects! Check out You Should Be So Lucky by Cat Sebastian if you like it. Little Rot was intense and has a lot of tough themes. I wouldn't call it triggering per se, but it's not for everybody. Every character is complicated, and there's this thriller/horror element that is all the more disturbing for its realness. (I dont know if this is making you more or less nervous, but i still think you should read it. Lol)

I recently read the talented mr Ripley and tbh the 1999 film of it is really good! And know my name is phenomenal, it was the best nonfiction I read last year. But the emotions are truly something, I had to wait till I was in the right headspace as well.

Know My Name is fantastic and absolutely wait until you’re in the space for it. Not only is the story important, but the writing is beautiful. He Who Drowned the World is also excellent and very, very dark.

Know My Name is truly one of the best books I have ever read. Chanel Miller is a phenomenal writer and this story impacted me incredibly. But for sure wait until you‘re in the right place to read it, it‘s a lot

"I'm a nerd" I prefer to be called a brainiac because I'm always thinking of this and that; but if nerd works for you, run with it. Just a tad bit of advice, go for the Master's degree as it can increase your pay once you enter into your profession.

Middlegame is my #1 book of 2024; I absolutely loved it, and my brain is still trying to recover from it. I will say the next two books aren't as strong ("Seasonal Fears", the second one, is definitely the weakest, and "Tidal Creatures" has some good lore but still isn't as good as the first), but "Middlegame" can definitely be read as a standalone.

Girlie word of advice skip the Semantic Error comic and just watch the drama. The comic features a full on explicit rape scene of one of the protagonists by the other and is in general inferior to the drama which is super cute with a much more likeable interpretation of the characters and their dynamic and probably one of the best kiss scenes in a Korean BL drama to date. Also, hi, missed you, welcome back
