Seeing Enid Blyton's books at the end made me so happy. Her books were the first English novels I read as a kid. Her influence has been monumental considering her books have reached kids in the non English speaking world in a way that very few authors have. 🍦

I loved Remarkably Bright Creatures. I am in love with Marcellus. Whoever does his voice on the audiobook was perfect! I can’t wait to hear what you think of it. I just read Carmilla back in March. It is a must read for any vampire fanatics! Also, if I remember correctly To Kill a Mockingbird is actually told from Scout’s perspective, the lawyer’s daughter.

I can’t recommend The Wishing Game enough!!! My friend and I just finished buddy reading it yesterday and we both loved it soooo much! Also, a fun fact about To Kill a Mockingbird: Harper Lee’s friends got together and put money together as Harper’s Christmas gift so her bills were paid for an entire year. She was then able to dedicate that entire year to writing To Kill a Mockingbird.

Uhhh, Remarkable Bright Creatures is amazing as well. I have never felt so much for a 🐙😂. It is such a wholesome "friendship" and you have chapters written from Marcellus' 🐙 POV and he is just the cutest. A must read (but it has a bit of a melancholy atmosphere so be aware of that)

"To Kill a Mockingbird" is one of my favorite books of all time, and the movie adaptation is almost just as good. I also really enjoyed "A Tree Grows in Brooklyn" as a kid.

I got three books: Pursuit of Love by Nancy Mitford, The English Civil War by Diane Purkiss, and Arabian Nights: The Tales of 1001 Nights Vol. I. What’s funny about Waiting for Gadot was that I only heard about this play when I watched an anime called .Hack//Sign. They referenced the story of Gadot briefly as a joke. I looked it up and it was indeed a book and a play. I won’t spoil it here if you haven’t read it but it was kinda sad but very uplifting. I thought it was a good read. I’d love to see it as a play though. 😊

Oh, I love the movie Stuck In Love, I think you would also love My New York Year (or My Salinger Year depending on where you live). My Best Friend's Exorcism was also made into a movie (Amazon Original), not sure if you know that already because you haven't mentioned it. So just in case you didn't, I very much enjoyed it too! Interesting haul. There are lots of classics that I have not read and I recently picked up two of them, that I assumed that ALL Americans read during their high schools years. I am kind of shcoked that you have not read these books. So I purchased To Kill a Mockingbird and Catcher in the Rye as well.
