my frozen meals have come in handy over the past week. my husband had an accident at work and was able to walk with crutches to do his necessities. I took care of him, the child, the house, men's tasks. I had to lift everything for him, carry, put on socks. In addition, the nearest shop is 15 kilometers away and I don't have a driving license. So it's always a good idea to have meals in the freezer. He finally stopped making fun of me for cooking like there was going to be a war

Hello new viewer, I was a school cook for many years and thought to share how I cooked bulk meat, was wonderful and saved me so much time. I put 40 pounds of ground beef in pans 4” deep x 12”wide x 20” long , seasoned and roasted in oven. With your beautiful new ovens 4 pans would fit nicely. Then when meat is cooked can break up gently in large mixer being careful not to over mix. This was quite a fast method for chili, spaghetti or casseroles. Cooking in bulk is a skill like you loved it. You are such a natural at what you do enjoy checking in now that I found you. Sweet blessings Carol

ALL AMERICAN, YES!!!!! 30 yrs ago when I asked my Grandma Short about canning, she said go to THIS store and buy THIS canner. Been my tried and true for many yrs. Now at 55, I bought an electric Carey canner. It's great for the small batch but this summer in Kentucky, my ALL AMERICAN is my bestest friend. I have a cosori dehydrator and there is NO WAY I'll do a freeze dryer at the prices they are, DON'T MATTER HOW MUCH ITS PUSHED BY PEOPLE THAT GIT IT FOR FREE. JS. ♥️YOU THO. OOPS

I watched you do your canning all the way through! Congratulations, you did it! You amaze me! I wish my sweet mother-in-law had had this large gorgeous kitchen with her family of eleven kids, plus her and dad! She did her best in a small one with just the four burner stove. You can imagine her exhaustion! She did have two freezers, one for meats and one for vegetables. That’s a splendid canner you have for doing large amounts of canning! I was up late as you were when you were filming this. It’s almost four am where I live. I love watching your videos. You are an amazing lady! 💖

Watching you can brings back so many memories of my mom and grandmother canning for months and canning everything from chicken, Swiss steaks, spaghetti sauce, veggies and so many combinations of fruits, mom took a lot of pride in her canning and dad built some pretty hefty shelves in the basement for her, she had every jar washed and lined up perfectly like little tin soldiers lol, boy oh boy we had some pretty delicious meals come from those jars! Great job on your maiden voyage with big Bertha hahaha

I got an All American canner last year. I can't say enough good things about it. It takes much of the quests work out of canning. I do a lot of meat. I want to have canned protein on the shelf, in the event of some unexpected catastrophe, that could be easily heated for consumption. I've done chicken, found beef, sausage, beef and pork. It brings peace of mind knowing that we are covered with a well stocked pantry. Another benefit of canning meat is not losing it in the event of power loss. I will lose hundreds of pounds of food in a short amount of time should that happen. Canning meat insures it's longevity. Like you say " Yes and Amen".

Thought I would mention my experience of canning raw pack versus cooked meat with my All American. I have found that the raw pack method works best for us because if your using small cuts of meat (stew size pieces), the raw pack process doesn’t overcook the meat, leaving a great texture. Just two cents ;-)

I am watching you at 10.25pm here in Newcastle, Australia and my night seems to often go like yours. I do not can though. I just have a habit of starting something too late in the evening and just cannot go to bed with it unfinished. Three o'clock yesterday and the day before was also late at 3.45am. Like you there is no sleep ins either. But the kicker is that now there is only two of us and I seem to be busier than ever, and still do not achieve half or quarter as much as you do Jamerill, you are a wonderwoman. Enjoy every day with your gorgeous family, it doesn't end when they leave home............thankfully.

Stew meat is the BEST canned. I even pull out roasts we haven't eaten. With only two at home now, the huge meals are in our past, but we love the stew meat .....gravy it up, over rice..... This is some REALLY fast food. I par bake/roast my meat first in the oven . Great results.

I just bought my first pressure canner, a 23 qt after all there are only two of us. I can't wait to can ground beef, make bone broth, etc. Leisa at Suttons Daze channel just did her annual Canuary play list and I am inspired.
@lynhanna917
@lynhanna917 Жыл бұрын
Try canning just a little ground beef first..i just cant handle the texture. It was just mushy. The beef stew meat was much nicer texture wise. If i make a big batch of soup i pressure can it at supper time and by the time the kitchen is cleaned the canner is done. If you leave the canner cooling too long and you cant get the lid off do not panic. Just turn the heat back on and it will only take a few minutes for the pressure to pop the seal and you can easily get lid off.

I put the lid on sit down set timer for 20 minutes, steam is full,set for 10 minutes, put on 10 pount weieght, set for 20 minutes and it just about starts jiggling so I set my timer for what I am canning, its done I turn it off and I wait and wait then take it out. lol but it is worth it for how fast I can put a meal together later. I would rather put in the hard work on one or two days and have it easy for so many other days.

I'm good with the same meal for a few days. It's not a problem for me. If it's good I'll eat it. My Mom and Dad made me eat what was set before me, even if I hated it. I love my All-American. I have the 921 and doublestack pints easily. There are only 2 of us, and pints make more sense for us. There is definitely a learning curve. I have noticed recently with all the different brands available for jars, they are all slightly different shapes (round vs square-ish) and heights.

Jamerrill darlin’ I feel your pain…you’re blessed that your canner lid came off easily without a screwdriver 🫤. I had same drama plus more trying out my much smaller 915 model last year.😳 I truly thought it was “just” me, but now I see the learning curb is real here🤔. A tip for others…try out, have several practice goes, can water rounds to familiarize oneself to these whole American Canner characteristics…because girlfriend I literally thought I was going to have a nervous breakdown learning this canner. Thanks so very much for your video. Love, Carol🙏

You just take your sloppy joes meat mixture and put on the bottom of a pan, add a little shredded cheddar and top with tater tots. I bake it until it’s heated through and the tots are crispy. We LOVE our All American!! We actually struggle to fill it most of the time as our kitchen is not as large or as fully equipped as yours! My favorite thing We have canned was our venison stew meat! Just venison cut into chunks and raw packed. It is so tender and is and instant stew, roast venison gravy, sandwich, etc. I know that beef done the same way would be fantastic!

Sorry for the unsolicited comment but. . . YOU LOOK MARVELOUS! I love how you share the mega Momma Brassiere (aka kitchen). It's everything from school room to playroom to wonderful meals. I'm sure the children are enjoying it too. Correct me if I'm wrong but freeze meals are fresh meals served later. If Mr.Birdseye didn't show us how to do it, a Momma's job would be harder yet. The best

I did get me 2 -20qwart and 1-30 qwart bowls for this year's harvesting from my garden ❤
