Well I had to look up a recipe for Blondies after that! Raised on walnut chocolate brownies, with raspberry cream cheese frosting, with vanilla ice cream, smeared with melted chocolate chips, even just bare, I will never say No to them, but the Blondies have me intrigued, so I will give them a try with sour cherries baked in, which are just coming ripe in my back yard (6/19/24). Very early this year! They usually ripen on 4th of July. Very patriotic of them lol

As much as I love seeing the plot and everything you are doing in it, I think I love the chit chat even more! You are just the cutest thing and I like hearing about life there. Where I live in the US is very rural and routinely boring. Getting glimpses of other places is super fun. And congrats about taking a night class! In your next FAQ video, perhaps you can tell more about it. If I'm not mistaken, I think you are an artist outside of the garden (one could argue in the garden too as you have set it up so beautifully!). At least I vaguely remember a reference to your pre-Covid life being something artsy. Would love to hear more about that as I'm a little artsy too. The shed looks tidy indeed and has shamed me to do a little with my storage area... once it cools down. Where you have had nothing but gray days, we've had nothing but sunshine and high temps and humidity. Since the middle of July its been a chore doing anything outdoors because of the heat.

Morning ladies, yep have to agree my carrots so far this year have been crap. I’m trying the Parisienne round at the mo in poly tunnel. Has your mom got pink hair very cool 😎. Wow sand bar in the garden sucks 😢 see mushroom compost here is cheap (ish). I have giant marigolds for bees and sedum but I am not a fan of dahlia flowers 🌸 no particular reason other than space and care. Big shed on fall/winter project building list (honey dew list 😂😂). I think she’d are like purses the bigger they are the more cluttered they get. Thank you again for a great tour and sharing your videos with us 🇨🇦👍🐝 safe

We’ll just add ‘Carrots’ to the 2021 fails list! Thats one long list! :D The sand sucks sometimes but at least nothing ever rots out during the winter… lol. Thats why i like the dahlias so much, you just put them in the ground and they come up year after year, masses of flowers for 6 months and don’t require anything. I think if we had to ‘lift’ them and store them it would be a different story! Sheds are definitely like handbags! The bigger the more crap you carry! Having said that - I do with out a purse (i just carry a skinny pocket wallet) but i couldn’t do without the shed! :D Priorities!

Hi Jessi! Not sure how far you're from Hanworth but if youre not too far there is a ton of free horse manure available for pick up opposite the Power League football club. Just a thought considering how expensive it can get to keep buying ready manure bags! Also if you can travel a wee bit further to Charlton Village near Sunbury there is absolutely a huge pile of mature good quality manure you can bag and take from the stables area for free 24hrs a day. Regards Randy

Jessie you and your mother are very beautiful ladies I truly love the color of your eyes. I would absolutely love to get to spend some time with you two ladies and help you get thing's done. I am a chef and It would be interesting to cook for you to girls and see what you think of real American home cooking. Right now I have been cooking for the children in my community. I am feeding about 15 kid's because they are out of school again over the virus coming back. I've been feeding them breakfast and lunch and I absolutely love doing it. I pray that they get to return to school before the 30th of September because I have a back surgery then. I don't know what they will get to eat if they don't return to school by then. The lord will make a way I'm sure of that. God Bless ladies.

@@JessieatPlot37 until the case's of covid starts to decline they will be out of school. Their saying maybe by the end of the month or a little bit before that. I have been doing this through the entire summer and when they do go back to school I will miss getting to feed them. I am papa to almost every child in this housing unit. I started this out of a need and now I do it out of love for these kids. I just finished lunch we had cheeseburgers and homemade French fries I believe you guy's call them chips. They was trying to figure out a way I could still cook for them when school returns. It literally brought tears to my eyes knowing that they really loved what I am doing. Talking about making all this work and money worth while. They need to return to school Jess these children are really losing out on their education.

Love the new sign for the shed. Kim has brilliant taste! Not sure how you ended up drying the oregano. One year I left mine on the stem but actually struggled to get the leaves off, and they ended up being sort of stringy. Since then I have removed the leaves from the stems, chopped it and then dried it with a better result. I’ve just finished off a small batch of parsley and leaf celery (soup celery?). This is first year growing leaf celery and frankly no idea if it stores but I figure it can’t hurt to try it since I had a bunch and the dehydrator was going to be running anyway. We are about a month away from the first frost here so it’s now about trying to save what I can, although everything was a smaller yield than hoped (but a yield nonetheless!) 🥂
@JessieatPlot373 жыл бұрын
Hi Leanne, i dried it on the stem and sort of ‘scrunched’ the leaves off when dry. Didn’t have problems with the stalks apart from on the flowers. (I dried them too but had to accept they weren’t coming off the stems in the end and put them in the jar whole). I haven’t done my Parsley yet but i am going to. Also i think leaf/soup celery is meant to dry fantastically! But I haven’t tried. It’s on my ever expanding list! Gosh only a month till first frost, it must be action stations in your garden. And yeah, a harvest of something is better than nothing isn’t it! :D
