Great tour Jess, and your french beans look amazing, What ever you do DO NOT prune your stone fruit at this time of year, (cherries apricots etc) because the trees may get silver leaf, only prune them in mid summer (June, July, first two weeks of August), My mum had a cherry and pruned it in September, just over a year later it was dead.

Hi Jessie, I noticed the Girlies were nibbling the Gladioli leaves. Some sites label them as toxic, but I couldn't find anything specific so I'm not sure. You've had chickens for years so perhaps it'd be great if you could warn people about some garden plants, that chickens mustn't eat while free roaming. I was amazed to find raw beans on the list and many garden plants. I loved your tour, thanks for sharing, it always cheers me up! 💕

Jessie, I have enjoyed your videos so much! In California, mint plants will totally and completely take over our garden beds, so we grow it containers or pots to stop the spread. In UK, apparently that's not the case, I guess. Whatever, I love watching you and Mom.

Hello Jessie, may I make a suggestion about your chicken cage. If you paint the outside of the wire black your bantams will be more noticeable and stand out more. I did this for mine and what a difference!

Hyssop is used for digestive and intestinal problems including liver and gallbladder conditions, intestinal pain, intestinal gas, colic, and loss of appetite. It is also used for respiratory problems including coughs, the common cold, respiratory infections, sore throat, and asthma. Absolutely love watching your videos!

I use it for a teat during the winter for respiratory health. Related to hyssop is agastache plants which make a better tea. Savory I use for flavoring beans.

Anise Hyssop makes an incredible tea - hot, but especially cold. you can also use it in backed goods and cocktails! That looks like a different kind of hyssop. Might as well try it out in a cocktail... for the sake of science!

I have "bean envy". After planting 6 different types of beans, my total harvest has barely filled the palm of my hand. It's been a constant battle to keep the plants safe from the rabbits. Still have Greek gigantees to harvest. 🤞 EJK from 🇺🇸

Thanks for another tour. I must try more squashes next year like yours. Can't seem to grow butternut but the Boston winter squash has six fruits coming and is travelling everywhere.

Morning ladies, would it benefit the squash plants to dead end where the last large squash sits? What is that lovely framed piece in the back of the green shed it would look lovely on the fence behind the pond. My corguette were crap this year as were the cucamelons (last year loads 😂). The zambuca berries look like black pearls they are gorgeous. Poor Berta 😢 she needs a makeover. I’ve just pruned my strawberry plants for winter 🥶. Burlotti are superb looking I must admit I buy beans for looks 😂😂 luckily they taste as good as they look. Getting cooler nights now poly tunnel was 6c last night but all brassica back ups in there and they don’t mind. Well thank you for sharing as always 🇨🇦🐝 safe

Hi Jessie , since my good lady and I stumbled across your channel a few weeks ago , you have inspired us both to want to try crops that we have never had before , either home grown or shop bought . As we are currently downsizing on our allotment and completely remodeling it I was hoping for a bit of advice from you with regards to chard and fennel , In your opinion which are the best of each to grow , taking into consideration ease of growing and best taste . Kind regards Rob and Erica. P.S keep up the great work with your allotment and videos , it's great to see a you tuber that seems totally down to earth.

It true that the quality of compost you use really affects the quality of the plants. It’s not been all bad, cosmos looked good, sweet peas have been fantastic this year (a vase full every other day). To be honest I’m looking towards new year, wanting a plum tree and a camellia, waiting to plant my tulips. At the moment I’m growing a selection of houseplants.

Hi Jessie, has the plot grown in size over summer or how come your plot tours are getting longer and longer? And can we please take a moment to appreciate the lack of blackfly on the beans this year! 😄 Speaking of beans... when you say 'Neudecker' you actually mean 'Neckargold', don't you? Bit of a Haberano/Habanero flashback. The girlies are looking particularly fine, they must really like it in their new home! Much love, Hannes 💚

Hi Jess Love your videos. Use hyssop sparingly in salads, soups and fruit recipes interestingly it is an ingredient in Chartreus liqueur. Savory fresh or dried with all beans, any pork dishes and lentil soup. I only acquired my very small allotment in March and you have been an inspiration especially the bean arch which has been a triumph so I've purchased two more for next year. Thank you.

I love your plot tours. I added some echinacea seeds to my ever-growing seed order at Premier Seeds Direct and added a scrillion more 😂 I'll be doing everything in containers next year, except for my beans, peas, leeks, garlic, & onion. By the way, your borlotti beans are gorgeous. I have mine split between in-ground and in a container. The in-ground ones have fared SO much better. Mine are just getting big (I'm near Perth in Scotland). Thank you for inspiring so many of us newbies. 😊

Why do you do most in containers? Everything grows soo much better in the ground here. I love Premier Seeds and really hope I can order again soon, but the Brexit made it impossible earlier. All the best and kind regards from the Netherlands!

@@woutmoerman711 Hiya! I rent our house and other than our front bed (which is small) I can't dig up the garden to plant food.
