Faqs, I legit thought that the moves shadow Clive were using were just a showcase for moves we can be able to use as Clive when we get limit break. It only made sense seeing as we were fighting against ourselves. I don't see why our dark self gets more moves then Clive.

wondering if Ifrit and Pheonix arent getting buffs cause maybe there is something in the DLC that effects them specifically. which would be awesome. like give Ifrit it's own ultimate (i guess limit break kinda is but eeeehhhhh) but i doubt that will happen. it is the leviathan show afterall.... and god i cant wait to fck around with Levi's abilities. hopefully they're strong enough for me to change my ability rotation.

@@gmrjayz The four winged form is most likely an Eikonic Feat called Ascension. Some people on the FFXVI subreddit dug around and saw an unblurred part of the Rising Tide livestream. It revealed an accessory called "The Breath of the Creator (Proselytize)" Meaning that we're likely getting Ultima abilities.

I would have liked an option to toggle sprint on or off (click L3 for example) i feel restricted not being able to make Clive sprint when i want to.

Already put a ridiculous amount of hours into the game, love the game, once this new DLC drops, my ridiculous amount of hours I've put into the game will increase tenfold, being a veteran FF player I do miss traditional turn based FF games, I still crave an older FF game remade that keeps the traditional combat style untouched, FF6 or 9 would be awesome, FF8 would be killer awesome, but enough of my yakkity yak, I'm dangatang excited for The Rising Tide DLC for FF16 to happen, I've heard great things about it, it's gonna be awesome, wonder what direction they'll go when FF17 happens?

17 is a real long shot and nowhere near on their agenda at this point. Seeing how both 16 and Rebirth didn't meet their expectations. They did well but still no guarantee. But that said at least we have a killer DLC coming with around 10 hours of story and gameplay. I am super excited

I totally agree about Square Enix should give us the Hellfire ability for ifrit instead of it being used in cinematics only. Also ifrit should get a healing capacity boost as well. And Phoenix should have his abilities buffed up with damage and cooldown rates and given dispel attributes along with ifrit as well. Just like the rest of the Eikons

I might he tripping but megaflare doesnt seem to be penalized by movement anymore...if im not crazy thank the lord...and we got a new if your done with a quest you can go bacx quickly to the quest giver which is nice for me to play catchup for rising tide

My biggest problem with the skills was the massive cooldown on some… perfect parries should decrease the timer on some skills to incentivize the player to parry more instead of dodge all the time!!

the parries decrease cooldowns...well at least that's what i remember the last time i played. I was rewatching a clip of mine and noticed my abilities recharging faster after a parry. Goes back to normal after the parry slowmo. Give the parries a try and check out ur used up ability's cooldowns

Plot hole: Seeing as Leviathan was absorbed by Clive, shouldn't that have meant that the vessel i.e. Mythos was complete, thus meaning that Clive survived the final battle with Ultima?

That's what Ultima planned for, but we don't actually know if that works out. Its basically a theoretical plan that Clives body would be fully capable of handling Ultima's gathered power. Clive is incredibly capable of channeling aether (EotF Tower states there is an overload of aether when he goes to destroy the core, for example), but to channel the power of an entire planet (essentially). As far as I can tell, this is the first time the Ifrit body has been empowered this way but may not be the first time a planet's magick has been channeled by Ultima, thus the plan. TLDR; There was never a guarantee that Clive's body could survive, but the deck was stacked in his favour for sure

I’m dying for this DLC to drop. I’m only part way through my FF mode game, so I will get to enjoy the DLC twice. I will of course check out the DLC on my game clear data first, but I will absolutely enjoy these massive buffs in my FF mode save data. My theory is, though, that there’s some more surprises coming in the DLC for both Ifrit and Phoenix. The notes seem to have deliberately avoided mentioning them. This makes very little sense to me. It would make absolute sense, however, to give them story related buffs that aren’t mentioned in the patch notes… Or maybe perhaps it’s all just wishful thinking. Phoenix abilities get phased out very quickly. There are simply better abilities to use, outside of the eikonic feat. I won’t even mention the Ifrit abilities. They’re extremely niche at best. Lots of room to play around with stuff. Then let’s not forget just how ludicrously badass our shadow was with all of the abilities we never saw. I’m also hoping that the Leviathan abilities will outlast the DLC and be useful in the main game as well; there are SO many games that give out these awesome abilities that are useful only in the DLC content but outside of it they’re impotent by comparison.
