It's not a percent even though it is out of 100. It's a CAPS score. Or it is a percentage in a way but not a pure % of top engine moves. It's based on average centipawn loss.

In bullet both players have v ery little time. Usually there's a lot of blunders made and the majority of those are missed. A decent player with a few minutes could totally beat Danya if he has under 10 seconds, you can always make checks or captures that don't really work but he isn't expecting them (precisely because they don't work), so he needs to spend precious time adjusting to the unexpected position.

@@pairot01 You are underestimating a grandmaster. They have an extraordinary instinct, they can make a precise move in seconds, for which a 1500 rated player would need minimum of half an hour.

Sometimes I watch these videos and because Danyais such a good teacher it makes me feel as though I'm actually good at chess because I can answer the questions he poses, but then I'm always brought back down to earth and am made to realise just how far off his level I am when he shows his calculations like at the end of this video.

They don't actually visualise pieces on the ceiling mind, they visualise in their head and are merely looking away. You can confirm this from Magnus and Hikaru by watching their video on the Queen's Gambit TV series

Baruchpierwszy played amazingly. Analyzing the game with stockfish shows amazing counterplay hidden in his position, and to Naroditsky's credit he never took that foot off the gas and kept creating attacking chances.

9:30 well, my favourite multitran suggests "линейный удар" (linear blow) or "обратная связка" (reverse pin) as possible Russian translations for "skewer", but I've never heard these terms in Russian chess communities.

The lesson here (refer 36:35) is that I am no GM! I could never really calculate through to find that defensive resource. The defense is not too hard to find once the position is played out and black would have definitely found it. I have lost in nice flashy ways in attempting to win like this and won many times against players who thought they had a winning attack via sacrificing.

Chesscom accuracy is pretty broad. You can play a subpar game and have high accuracy. Lichess uses the latest stockfish at least.

it would be cool to incorporate moves that are maybe not blunders but at worse inaccuracies such as: 2:05 rule out Nc3... but yet i see you may be able to do Nc3 O-O and you should be good. It may not be the best but its more realistic for someone this ELO. Thank you for making these videos and teaching us to get better. I watch you often and my puzzles are over 1900 now.

Skewers and pins are very similar. The difference is what piece is more valuable. Skewers are where the most valuable piece is being attacked

Knights often have high kinetic energy, while rooks typically have high potential energy in the opening and middle game.
